Abstract

The present invention relates to a composition for the prevention or treatment of psoriasis comprising nanocapsules of paeoniflorin as an active ingredient. More specifically, the invention relates to a pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition for the prevention or treatment of psoriasis comprising paeoniflorin nanocapsules that exhibit the effect of improving the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) by significantly reducing erythema, scaling, and thickness caused by psoriasis through the nano-particle formation of paeoniflorin using chitosan, etc. The composition comprising nanoparticles of paeoniflorin according to the present invention as an active ingredient significantly improves psoriasis by significantly reducing erythema, scaling, and thickness caused by psoriasis, thereby improving the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI), and thus can be usefully used as a pharmaceutical or cosmetic for this purpose.
