Abstract

A display area comprises a plurality of tiles, each tile comprising an optically transparent layer. Each of the plurality of tiles comprises a substrate and a plurality of light sources located on the substrate. Additionally, each of the plurality of tiles comprises an opaque layer extending between the transparent layer and the plurality of light sources. The opaque layer comprises an opening extending over an area between at least one of the plurality of light sources and the transparent layer. Furthermore, a seam extends between adjacent tiles among the plurality of tiles, and the opaque layer extends across the seam.
