AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
The single fiber wavelength capacity of existing single fiber optical modules is limited and it is difficult to effectively improve.
Method used
By setting up multiple light emitting components, light receiving components and wave splitting components in the optical module, and processing multiple beams of different bands with a light ring device, the combined and wave splitting of the light beams are realized, and the single fiber wavelength capacity of the optical module is expanded.
Benefits of technology
It realizes that the single fiber wavelength capacity of the optical module is expanded without increasing the number of optical fibers, and the communication capability of the communication system is improved.

Abstract
An optical module, an optical splitting / combining apparatus, an optical connector, an optical assembly and a communication system, belonging to the technical field of optical communications. In an optical transmission direction, each transmitter optical subassembly (2) of an optical module transmits a light beam to an optical circulator apparatus (4); the optical circulator apparatus (4) receives the multiple light beams and transmits same to a splitting / combining component (5); and the splitting / combining component (5) combines the multiple light beams and transmits same to the outside by means of a single-fiber bidirectional optical interface (6). In an optical receiving direction, the splitting / combining component (5) splits a light beam received by the single-fiber bidirectional optical interface (6) into multiple light beams and transmits same to the optical circulator apparatus (4), and the optical circulator apparatus (4) transmits one light beam to each receiver optical subassembly (3).
