Abstract

A repositioning cushion system(100) comprising a cushion(110), one or more pressure sensors(120) disposed on or within the cushion(110), wherein the one or more pressure sensors(120) are configured to measure pressure on the cushion(110) from a user(10) sitting on the cushion(110), a pump(130) fluidly coupled to the cushion(110) and configured to inflate or deflate a portion of the cushion(110), a controller(140) operatively coupled to the pump(130) and electronically coupled to the one or more pressure sensors(120); the controller(130) is configured to receive the pressure measured from the one or more pressure sensors(120), determine a posture of a user(10) based on the measured pressure, and, control the pump(130) to inflate or deflate the cushion(110) or a portion of the cushion(110) based on the determined posture to reposition the user(10) into an ideal posture or remind the user(10) to change their posture into an ideal posture.
