AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

In the multi-wireless access technology (RAT) dual connection (MR-DC) connection state, how the primary and secondary nodes maintain a consistent understanding of the gap state to ensure the reliability of communication.

Method used

Perform a series of operations to the secondary node through the primary node, including sending indication information or request messages, monitoring the target uplink information sent by the user equipment, and ignoring or processing the gap accordingly to ensure that the primary node and the secondary node understand the gap state consistently.

Benefits of technology

Through this method, the primary and secondary nodes can maintain a consistent understanding of the gap state, thereby improving the reliability of the communication system and data transmission efficiency.

Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and discloses a gap processing method and apparatus, a user equipment (UE), and a network side device. The gap processing method in embodiments of the present application comprises: a master node performs a first operation on a secondary node, wherein the first operation comprises any one of the following: sending first indication information, the first indication information being used for indicating a conflict processing mode of a first gap; sending a first request message, the first request message being used for requesting the conflict processing mode of the first gap; when target uplink information sent by a UE is monitored during a second gap, ignoring the second gap, and sending second indication information to the secondary node, the second indication information being used for indicating that the second gap has been ignored; and receiving third indication information from the secondary node, the third indication information being used for indicating that the second gap has been ignored, and the second gap being a gap where the UE has sent the target uplink information.
