Abstract

The present application relates to a steering wheel and a hands-off detection device thereof. The hands-off detection device includes a sensor mat and an electronic control unit, wherein a signal output end of the sensor mat is connected to the electronic control unit via a harness so as to form a hands-off detection area covering the sensor mat, and the sensor mat includes an underlayer, a shielding layer, and a sensor layer which are arranged sequentially from inside to outside; and the shielding layer includes a substrate and at least one metal wire, the metal wire being arranged on the substrate by means of an embroidery process to allow the metal wire to be spread over a surface of the substrate, and two ends of each metal wire being connected to the electronic control unit so as to form an electrical connection circuit. In the steering wheel and the hands-off detection device thereof provided by the present application, the functional diagnosis of the entire shielding layer is easy to realize, and the circuit structure is stable.
