Abstract

The present invention provides a work machine comprising: a first oil passage for connecting a hydraulic cylinder and a direction switching valve; a second oil passage for connecting the hydraulic cylinder and the direction switching valve; a communication oil passage for communicating the first oil passage and the second oil passage; a communication control valve provided in the communication oil passage; a regeneration oil passage for connecting the second oil passage and a hydraulic apparatus; a regeneration control valve provided in the regeneration oil passage; and a throttle valve for throttling the pressure oil flowing through the second oil passage. The communication oil passage and the regeneration oil passage are branched from the second oil passage at a position between the throttle valve and the hydraulic cylinder. During the contraction operation of the hydraulic cylinder, the first oil passage and the second oil passage are connected via the communication control valve, the connection of the hydraulic cylinder and a hydraulic oil tank is shut off, and the hydraulic apparatus and the second oil passage are connected via the regeneration control valve. Thus, the pressure oil discharged from the hydraulic cylinder is reused as power, and the direction switching valve is protected from the pressure oil discharged from the hydraulic cylinder.
