Brain function improver, use for production of brain function improver, and method for improving brain function

Abstract

[Problem] To provide: a brain function improver capable of achieving the effect of improving a brain function regardless of the condition of a person's sleep; use for the production of the brain function improver; and a method for improving a brain function. [Solution] Provided is a brain function improver containing, as an active ingredient, at least one component selected from bacterial cells of Lactobacillus paracasei and a treated product of the bacterial cells. Also provided is a use of at least one component selected from bacterial cells of Lactobacillus paracasei and a treated product of the bacterial cells for the production of the brain function improver. Further provided is a method for improving a brain function, the method including allowing Lactobacillus paracasei to be orally ingested continuously for at least 4 weeks in an amount of 1010 cfu / day or more in terms of number of living cells of the bacterium.
