Device and method for recommending alternative words for vocabulary improvement

Abstract

The present invention relates to technology that can improve sentences written by a learner and remarkably improve the vocabulary skills of the learner by detecting words requiring correction, in writing written by the learner, according to whether vocabulary used by a user in the writing is of a lower level than the writing level of the user or needs to be improved, and recommending and providing alternative words, capable of improving the writing level of the user, to the words requiring correction. According to the present invention, an alternative word recommendation method for vocabulary improvement comprises the steps of: receiving, from a user terminal, one or more pieces of document data composed of written input sentences; separating the written input sentences into morphemes; vectorizing words, separated into the morphemes, through word embedding; analyzing the vocabulary of the vectorized words; detecting words requiring correction according to the vocabulary analysis result; and extracting alternative words for the words requiring correction, and thereby providing improved sentences to the user.
