Apparatus for purifying flue gases

Abstract

The invention relates to apparatus for purifying gases and is applicable in the coking, coal and chemical industries. The present apparatus contains a preliminary ozonization chamber, chambers for performing treatment using a catholyte and an anolyte, respectively, an exhaust fan, and catholyte and anolyte tanks. The catholyte and anolyte tanks are connected to a high-pressure catholyte pump and a high-pressure anolyte pump, respectively. The chambers for performing treatment using a catholyte and an anolyte form a purification line which is connected to the outlet of the preliminary ozonization chamber and includes a catholyte cold mist chamber and an anolyte cold mist chamber arranged successively in alternation. Inside the catholyte and anolyte cold mist chambers are catholyte and anolyte atomization nozzles which are connected to a catholyte feed pipe and an anolyte feed pipe, respectively. The apparatus is equipped with a final ozonization chamber that is connected to the exhaust fan and to the outlet of the purification line. The technical result consists in increasing the degree of purification of large quantities of flue gases by enabling the successive treatment thereof with high-pressure cold mists of a catholyte and an anolyte, respectively, which are fine mists of oppositely charged electrolytes with a high redox potential.
