Abstract

A negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) bandage for applying negative pressure to a wound, the NPWT bandage comprising: a membrane configured for disposition over a wound so as to form a wound chamber between the membrane and the wound, the membrane comprising a wound-side surface, an atmosphere-side surface and an intermediate foam layer disposed therebetween, and further wherein an opening is formed in the wound-side surface, the opening being in fluid communication with the wound chamber; wherein the membrane comprises a linear extension portion and a radial extension portion; and a negative pressure source fluidically connected to the opening in the membrane for applying negative air pressure to the wound chamber.
