AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

In 5G communication systems, the existing spatial vector selection method results in strong binding relationships and strong constraints in the selection of spatial vectors of different layers, which affects communication performance.

Method used

By determining the first information and the second information, the spatial vector group and the correspondence between the spatial vector and the layer are indicated, so that each layer can flexibly select the spatial vector, thereby improving the selection flexibility and codebook performance.

Benefits of technology

The flexibility of selecting spatial vectors for different layers is improved, which improves the performance of the codebook.

Abstract

A method for reporting channel state information, and an apparatus. The method comprises: determining first information and second information, the first information being used for indicating a first spatial domain vector set, the first spatial domain vector set being one of O1*O2 spatial domain vector sets, N1*N2 spatial domain vectors in each spatial domain vector set being orthogonal, the second information being used for indicating K spatial domain vectors in the first spatial domain vector set, the K spatial domain vectors having a corresponding relationship with S layers, 1≤K≤N1*N2, O1 representing an oversampling factor in a first dimension, O2 representing an oversampling factor in a second dimension, N1 representing the number of antenna ports in the first dimension, N2 representing the number of antenna ports in the second dimension, and O1, O2, N1, N2 K, S all being positive integers; and sending the first information and the second information to an access network device. The described method can improve the flexibility of selecting spatial domain vectors respectively corresponding to S layers, and can effectively improve the performance of codebooks.
