Abstract

A system of remediating presence of personal or organizational information (POI) in cloud-based data resources of an organization, the system comprising a processing circuitry (PC) configured to: create a copy of a data-source residing in a user cloud account, the copy being based on a snapshot of the data-source, wherein the data-source is pre-configured to permit snapshotting and copying by a service of the designated cloud account; perform a POI scan on the copy, thereby resulting in data indicative of one or more POI detections in the data-source; and responsive to, at least, updating of one or more configuration parameters of the data-source: at least partially remediate the data- source, based on, at least, the one or more POI detections resulting from the POI scan.
