Abstract

A first station (STA) receives from a second STA, and during a transmission opportunity (TXOP) of the second STA, a first physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) comprising a field indicating a category of stations allowed to preempt a second PPDU configured to follow the first PPDU. The category of stations may comprise stations having buffered data for the second STA. Based on the first STA being a member of the category of stations allowed to preempt the second PPDU, the first STA transmits, within the TXOP of the second STA, a third PPDU that preempts the second PPDU.
