Abstract

Embodiments of the present application provide a measurement report sending method and a related apparatus. A terminal device receives scheduling signaling from a network device, wherein the scheduling signaling is used for scheduling a first uplink resource, the scheduling signaling comprises first indication information, and the first indication information is used for determining that the first uplink resource is used for carrying an event-triggered measurement report; and the terminal device sends an event-triggered first measurement report to the network device by means of the first uplink resource. Thus, the terminal device reports the event-triggered measurement report. Unnecessary reporting of measurement reports is avoided, and reporting overhead is reduced.
