The method comprises: determining at least one target virtual model corresponding to a target virtual machine, wherein the at least one target virtual model is used for describing at least one hardware configuration compatible with the target virtual machine and / or an operation instruction set for the target virtual machine; on the basis of the at least one target virtual model, determining a target physical machine or a target physical machine cluster from among a plurality of physical machines or a plurality of physical machine clusters; and performing live migration of the target virtual machine to the target physical machine or the target physical machine cluster.
