Abstract

The present disclosure relates to apparatuses, methods, and computer programs for tire pressure measurement system, TPMS, sensors and an initialization tool for a TPMS sensor. The method (10) for a tire pressure measurement system, TPMS, sensor (400) in a TPMS comprising a plurality of sensors, comprises assuming (12) the role of a master sensor based on an initial role assignment or based on a role assignment procedure and broadcasting (14) an indication to one or more neighbor slave sensors to indicate their battery and coverage statuses. The method (10) further comprises receiving (16) indications from the one or more neighbor slave sensors about their identification, battery and coverage statuses and triggering (18) the role assignment procedure based on the received indications.
