Abstract
[Problem] To provide: an artificial blood vessel having an inner peripheral surface that suitably acts on blood flow; and a method for producing an artificial blood vessel having the inner peripheral surface that suitably acts on blood flow. [Solution] This artificial blood vessel is provided with a cylindrical sheet that defines a space in which blood flows. The cylindrical sheet includes an ion-implanted layer as an inner layer. The main component of the ion-implanted layer is polytetrafluoroethylene. The inner peripheral surface of the ion-implanted layer is constituted by a roughened surface that contains polytetrafluoroethylene as a main component.
