Abstract
Methods and compositions for rejuvenating and reprogramming stem cells are disclosed. The methods involve administering to a subject an ABCB5 targeted composition comprising an anti-ABCB5 antibody conjugated to a therapeutic payload comprised of an upregulation factor or downregulation factor, or a nucleic acid encoding an upregulation factor or downregulation factor in an effective amount to reprogram and rejuvenate ABCB5+ stem cells in the subject. The compositions include anti-ABCB5 antibody conjugated to a therapeutic payload comprising an upregulation factor or downregulation factor, or a nucleic acid encoding an upregulation factor or downregulation factor. Compositions and methods for expressing extracellular matrix proteins in ABCB5+ stem cells are also disclosed.
