[0002] -- Filing date of original application: 2017.08.28
[0003] --Original application number: 201710748293.5
[0004] --Title of the invention of the original application: A method and device for saving power in a user or base station Technical Field
[0005] The present application relates to a transmission method and device in a wireless communication system, and in particular to a transmission method and device for wireless signals supporting power saving. Background Art
[0006] At present, NB-IOT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) based on the power saving requirement is being discussed in 3GPP (3rd Generation Partner Project). When there are many NB-IOT devices under the coverage of the base station, in order to achieve the purpose of power saving, a mainstream idea is to avoid frequently turning on the baseband processing function of the NB-IOT device, and then WUS (Wake-up Signal) is proposed. WUS is used to indicate whether the user equipment needs to perform subsequent physical layer channel decoding. When the user equipment does not search for WUS, the user equipment will remain in Idle mode.
[0007] Compared with the traditional physical layer process, WUS can effectively reduce the number and frequency of baseband processing of user equipment, thereby saving power. Accordingly, new WUS-based related designs need to be introduced. Summary of the invention
[0008] The inventors have found through research that the design of WUS needs to consider the PF (Paging Frame) and PO (Paging Occasion) of the user equipment, and establishing a one-to-one correspondence between WUS, PO and PF is a simple and direct solution. However, considering that there will be tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of user equipment under the coverage of a base station or a TA (Tracking Area) in the future; based on the existing definition of PF and PO, the location of the PF and PO of a user equipment is related to the IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) of the user equipment and the remainder of the modulus of 1024. There will be a large number of user equipment belonging to one PO in a corresponding cell, and the above one-to-one correspondence will still bring about the problem of waking up a large number of user equipment at one time, which will always bring unnecessary waste of baseband processing and power.
[0009] In view of the above design, the present application discloses a solution. In the absence of conflict, the embodiments of the present application in the user equipment and the features in the embodiments can be applied to the base station, and vice versa. In the absence of conflict, the embodiments of the present application and the features in the embodiments can be arbitrarily combined with each other.
[0010] The present application discloses a method for saving power in a user equipment, which is characterized by comprising:
[0011] -Determine a first time-frequency resource set and K1 feature sequences;
[0012] - monitoring the K1 characteristic sequences in the first time-frequency resource set;
[0013] Among them, if any one of the K1 feature sequences is found in the first time-frequency resource set, the user equipment is awakened; the K1 feature sequences are used to generate K1 wireless signals respectively; the first time-frequency resource set is one of the K2 candidate time-frequency resource sets; the K1 and the K2 are positive integers respectively; at least one of the K1 and the K2 is greater than 1.
[0014] As an embodiment, the advantage of the above method is that by designing the mechanism of "if any one of the K1 feature sequences is found in the first time-frequency resource set, the user equipment is awakened", the base station effectively controls the number of user equipment awakened by selecting one of the K1 feature sequences from the K1 feature sequences, thereby avoiding waking up too many user equipment at one time and saving terminal power.
[0015] As an embodiment, the advantage of the above method is that by designing the K2 candidate time-frequency resource sets and corresponding each candidate time-frequency resource set to a terminal group, that is, by distinguishing the time-frequency resources, the number of user devices awakened can be effectively controlled, thereby avoiding waking up too many user devices at one time and saving terminal power.
[0016] According to one aspect of the present application, the above method is characterized in that K1 is greater than 1, the K1 characteristic sequences respectively correspond to K1 first-category terminal groups, and the K1 first-category terminal groups all include the user equipment; one of the K1 wireless signals is transmitted in the first time-frequency resource set.
[0017] As an embodiment, an advantage of the above method is that the K1 first-category terminal groups all include the user equipment, and when the base station needs to wake up the user equipment, any one of the K1 characteristic sequences is used to wake up the user equipment.
[0018] As an embodiment, another advantage of the above method is that the K1 first-category terminal groups correspond to terminal groups including K1 different numbers of terminals. The base station pre-divides all terminals corresponding to a PO and PF into K1 different groups, and then determines the corresponding first-category terminal group according to the number of terminals and terminal types that actually need to be awakened, and then determines which one of the K1 characteristic sequences to send.
[0019] As an embodiment, another advantage of the above method is that one of the K1 wireless signals is transmitted in the first time-frequency resource set, and no additional resources are consumed for transmitting the WUS due to the introduction of the K1 first-category terminal groups.

[0022] As an embodiment, another advantage of the above method is that: all terminals corresponding to a PO and PF are separated by the K2 second-category terminal groups, and then the corresponding candidate time-frequency resource set is selected according to the second-category terminal group to which the terminal that actually needs to be awakened belongs, thereby avoiding waking up too many unnecessary terminals at one time.

[0110] Example 3
[0111] Embodiment 3 shows a schematic diagram of an embodiment of a wireless protocol architecture of a user plane and a control plane according to the present application, as shown in the attached Figure 3 shown.
[0112] Attached Figure 3is a schematic diagram illustrating an embodiment of a radio protocol architecture for a user plane and a control plane, Figure 3 The radio protocol architecture for user equipment (UE) and base station equipment (gNB or eNB) is shown in three layers: Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3. Layer 1 (L1 layer) is the lowest layer and implements various PHY (physical layer) signal processing functions. The L1 layer will be referred to as PHY301 in this article. Layer 2 (L2 layer) 305 is above PHY301 and is responsible for the link between UE and gNB through PHY301. In the user plane, L2 layer 305 includes MAC (Medium Access Control) sublayer 302, RLC (Radio Link Control) sublayer 303, and PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) sublayer 304, which terminate at the gNB on the network side. Although not shown, the UE may have several upper layers above the L2 layer 305, including a network layer (e.g., IP layer) terminated at the P-GW on the network side and an application layer terminated at the other end of the connection (e.g., a remote UE, a server, etc.). The PDCP sublayer 304 provides multiplexing between different radio bearers and logical channels. The PDCP sublayer 304 also provides header compression for upper layer data packets to reduce radio transmission overhead, provides security by encrypting data packets, and provides handover support for UEs between gNBs. The RLC sublayer 303 provides segmentation and reassembly of upper layer data packets, retransmission of lost data packets, and reordering of data packets to compensate for out-of-order reception due to HARQ. The MAC sublayer 302 provides multiplexing between logical and transport channels. The MAC sublayer 302 is also responsible for allocating various radio resources (e.g., resource blocks) in one cell between UEs. The MAC sublayer 302 is also responsible for HARQ operations. In the control plane, the radio protocol architecture for UE and gNB is substantially the same for the physical layer 301 and L2 layer 305, but there is no header compression function for the control plane. The control plane also includes the RRC (Radio Resource Control) sublayer 306 in Layer 3 (L3 layer). The RRC sublayer 306 is responsible for obtaining radio resources (i.e., radio bearers) and configuring lower layers using RRC signaling between the gNB and the UE.
