Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a seat cushion for a chair and a seat for a chair including the same, and more particularly, to a seat cushion for a chair in which a plurality of cushion grooves that deform due to the seating load of a user are formed in the central portion of the lower surface, and the seating feeling is improved with a simple structure.

Background Art

[0002] Generally, the sponge applied to the seat of a chair generates a seating feeling only by the characteristics and form of the material without another structure for improving the seating feeling. When a sponge with a uniform thickness is applied to the seat of a chair, when a user sits on the seat of the chair, due to the structure of the human body, the shape of the central portion of the sponge is felt to bulge relatively, and the user feels inconvenience.

[0003] In order to solve such a problem, when the shape of the central portion of the sponge is made concave, there is a problem that the external shape of the chair seat is easily deformed, the thickness is reduced, and the cushioning force is lowered.

[0004] Also, although the cushioning force of the chair seat can be adjusted by adjusting the physical property values of the sponge, there is a limit to adjusting the optimal physical property values of the sponge for the optimal cushioning force of the chair seat.

[0005] Korean Registered Patent Publication No. 10-2073647 (February 5, 2020) (hereinafter referred to as "the prior art") discloses a "seat cushion for a chair" that is fastened to the upper part of a seat frame for a chair so that a user can sit comfortably.

[0006] The aforementioned prior art consists of memory foam, an elastic body, and a stopper spring. The memory foam forms the outer cushion. The elastic body is inserted into a housing formed at the bottom of the memory foam and forms the inner cushion, being made of a softer elastic material than the memory foam and having multiple fastening holes on both sides. The stopper spring is fastened to the fastening holes of the elastic body, and when the center is used as the starting point, the outer spring is formed to be relatively large and long, so that both sides of the seat cushion are higher than the center, thereby supporting the user's thighs when seated and preventing their legs from spreading, thereby improving the user's seating comfort.

[0007] However, the aforementioned conventional technology, whose configuration for improving seating comfort consists of the memory foam, the elastic body, and the stopper spring, had the problem of increased assembly time and cost due to its complex structure. [Overview of the project] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]

[0008] The technical problem of the present invention is to provide a chair seat cushion and a chair seat including the same, which have multiple cushion grooves formed in the center of the lower surface that deform under the user's seating load, thereby improving seating comfort with a simple structure.

[0068] The multiple first main cushion grooves 11, the multiple second main cushion grooves 12, and the multiple third main cushion grooves 13 may be formed in the same number as each other. In this embodiment, the number of each of the multiple first main cushion grooves 11, the multiple second main cushion grooves 12, and the multiple third main cushion grooves 13 is formed in the number of 5.

[0069] The number of multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14 and multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15 may be the same as the number of each other. The number of each of the multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14 and multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15 may be one less than the number of each of the multiple first main cushion grooves 11, multiple second main cushion grooves 12, and multiple third main cushion grooves 13. In this embodiment, the number of each of the multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14 and multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15 is formed as four.

[0070] The components positioned at the very front of each of the multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14 and multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15 may be spaced apart in the left-right direction from the components positioned second from the front of each of the multiple first main cushion grooves 11, multiple second main cushion grooves 12, and multiple third main cushion grooves 13.

[0071] Multiple first main cushion grooves 11 may be arranged in the center of the seat cushion 111 in the left-right direction, spaced apart from each other in the front-back direction.

[0072] Multiple second main cushion grooves 12 are separable from multiple first main cushion grooves 11 to the left. Multiple second main cushion grooves 12 may be arranged to be separated from each other in the front-rear direction.

[0073] The multiple third main cushion grooves 13 are spaced apart to the right from the multiple first main cushion grooves 11. The multiple third main cushion grooves 13 may be spaced apart from each other in the front-rear direction.

[0074] The multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14 are spaced apart to the left from the multiple second main cushion grooves 12. The multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14 may be spaced apart from each other in the front-rear direction.

[0075] The multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15 are spaced apart to the right from the multiple third main cushion grooves 13. The multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15 may be spaced apart from each other in the front-rear direction.

[0076] The multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 may include multiple first sub-cushion grooves 21, multiple second sub-cushion grooves 22, multiple third sub-cushion grooves 23, and multiple fourth sub-cushion grooves 24. However, the lower central portion of the seat cushion 111 may not have multiple third sub-cushion grooves 23 and multiple fourth sub-cushion grooves 24, and only multiple first sub-cushion grooves 21 and multiple second sub-cushion grooves 22 may be formed there.

[0077] Multiple first sub-cushion grooves 21 can connect multiple first main cushion grooves 11 and multiple second main cushion grooves 12, respectively. Multiple first sub-cushion grooves 21 may be arranged diagonally between multiple first main cushion grooves 11 and multiple second main cushion grooves 12.

[0078] Multiple second sub-cushion grooves 22 can connect multiple first main cushion grooves 11 and multiple third main cushion grooves 13, respectively. Multiple second sub-cushion grooves 22 may be arranged diagonally between multiple first main cushion grooves 11 and multiple third main cushion grooves 13.

[0079] Multiple third sub-cushion grooves 23 can connect multiple second main cushion grooves 12 and multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14, respectively. Multiple third sub-cushion grooves 23 may be arranged diagonally between multiple second main cushion grooves 12 and multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14.

[0080] Multiple fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 can connect multiple third main cushion grooves 13 and multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15, respectively. Multiple fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 may be arranged diagonally between multiple third main cushion grooves 13 and multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15.

[0081] The front ends of the multiple first sub-cushion grooves 21 can each be connected to the multiple first main cushion grooves 11. The rear ends of the multiple first sub-cushion grooves 21 can each be connected to the multiple second main cushion grooves 12, which are located in a row directly behind the multiple first main cushion grooves 11 to which the front ends of the multiple first sub-cushion grooves 21 are connected.

[0082] The front ends of the multiple second sub-cushion grooves 22 can each be connected to the multiple first main cushion grooves 11. The rear ends of the multiple second sub-cushion grooves 22 can each be connected to the multiple third main cushion grooves 13, which are located in a row directly behind the multiple first main cushion grooves 11 to which the front ends of the multiple second sub-cushion grooves 22 are connected.

[0083] The front ends of the multiple third sub-cushion grooves 23 can each be connected to the multiple second main cushion grooves 12. The rear ends of the multiple third sub-cushion grooves 23 can each be connected to the multiple fourth main cushion grooves 14, which are located in a row directly behind the multiple second main cushion grooves 12 to which the front ends of the multiple third sub-cushion grooves 23 are connected.

[0084] The front ends of the multiple fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 can each be connected to the multiple third main cushion grooves 13. The rear ends of the multiple fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 can each be connected to the multiple fifth main cushion grooves 15, which are located in a row directly behind the multiple third main cushion grooves 13 to which the front ends of the multiple fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 are connected.

[0085] On the other hand, an insertion groove 30 may be formed on the lower surface of the seat cushion 111. The seat plate 112 that supports the seat cushion 111 can be inserted into the insertion groove 30. Multiple cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, and 24 may be formed on the upper surface of the insertion groove 30.

[0086] A peripheral groove 35 may be formed on the upper peripheral edge of the insertion groove 30. In this case, a peripheral projection 112A may be formed on the upper peripheral edge of the seat plate 112. The peripheral projection 112A formed on the upper peripheral edge of the seat plate 112 can be inserted into the peripheral groove 35. In this case, the multiple cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, and 24 may be formed on the upper surface of the insertion groove 30, inside the peripheral groove 35.

[0087] However, the lower surface of the seat cushion 111 does not necessarily have to have an insertion groove 30 and a peripheral groove 35, and may not have to be formed.

[0088] Figure 8 is a cross-sectional view showing the vertical thickness of the seat cushion and the depth of the multiple main cushion grooves shown in Figure 5.

[0089] Referring to Figure 8, the vertical thickness T1 from the upper ends of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 to the upper end of the seat cushion 111 may be formed to be 30 to 40 mm. If the vertical thickness T1 from the upper ends of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 to the upper end of the seat cushion 111 is less than 30 mm, there is a problem in that when the user sits on the seat 110, the boundaries of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 can be felt. If the vertical thickness T1 from the upper ends of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 to the upper end of the seat cushion 111 is thicker than 40 mm, there is a problem in that when the user sits on the seat 110, the increase in cushioning force due to the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 cannot be felt.

[0090] The depth T2 of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 may be formed to be deeper than half the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111. In this embodiment, the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111 is formed to be 63.86 mm, the depth T2 of each of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 is formed to be 33.86 mm, and the vertical thickness T1 from the upper ends of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 to the upper end of the seat cushion 111 may be formed to be 30 mm. However, since the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111 can be varied from 50 to 70 mm depending on the chair specifications, the depth T2 of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 does not necessarily have to be formed deeper than half the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111. Instead, the vertical thickness T1 from the upper ends of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 to the upper end of the seat cushion 111 can be varied within the range of 30 to 40 mm.

[0091] Figure 9 shows a cross-sectional view of line BB in Figure 6 and the deformation of a chair seat cushion according to an embodiment of the present invention when the user's seating load is applied to the chair seat. Here, the second sub-cushion groove 22 is explained as an example, but deformation can occur in the main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, 24 located below the part of the seat cushion 111 that is subjected to the user's seating load.

[0092] Referring to Figure 9, when the user's seating load is applied to the upper side of the seat cushion 111 as indicated by the arrow, the friction between the lower surface of the seat cushion 111 and the seat plate 112 causes the lower part of the seat cushion 111 to stop, while the upper part of the seat cushion 111 becomes movable in the direction of the user's seating load. At this time, the cushion groove (in this case, the second sub-cushion groove 22) formed on the lower surface of the seat cushion 111 deforms as shown by the dashed line, making the user feel plush.

[0093] Furthermore, the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 facilitate deformation of the central part of the seat cushion 111 by the weight of the user sitting on the seat 110, and when the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 are pressed by the weight of the user sitting on the seat 110, they deform in the direction the user is sitting, and the inner walls of the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 tilt, but the inner walls tilt by the width of each of the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24, and the amount of deformation of the entire seat cushion 111 increases by that amount, allowing the user to experience an improved seating comfort. Since the deformation of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 occurs on the underside of the seat cushion 111, the external shape of the seat cushion 111 does not change, so the user can feel at ease.

[0094] As described above, in the chair seat cushion 111 according to the embodiment of the present invention, the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, 24 are formed to be narrower in width and not deeper in depth than the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. Therefore, when a user sits on the seat 110 of the chair 1, the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, 24 deform under the user's weight, and the inner walls of the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and the inner walls of the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, 24 tilt, but the overall shape of the seat cushion 111 is not excessively obstructed, thus improving the seating comfort. Furthermore, the difference in vertical depth between the multiple main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and the multiple sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, 24 prevents the user from feeling like the seat plate 110 is collapsing in the part that directly contacts their body, thereby improving the overall seating comfort across the entire surface area of the seat plate 110.
