AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing ammonia recovery systems on ships require dilution of aqueous ammonia to a predetermined concentration before discharge, as high-concentration ammonia is harmful and cannot be directly disposed of or recycled.
Method used
An ammonia recovery system comprising a first storage unit, a spraying unit, a second storage unit, piping, and a valve to dilute ammonia water by mixing it with fresh water, allowing safe disposal or recycling.
Benefits of technology
The system effectively dilutes ammonia water to safe concentrations for disposal or recycling, preventing environmental and health hazards without increasing storage capacity or vessel size.

Abstract
An ammonia recovery system according to the present invention comprises a first storage unit that is provided to a ship and stores water, a spraying unit that sprays spray water at a compartment in which there is ammonia among one or more compartments provided in the ship, a second storage unit that recovers and stores ammonia water produced by dissolution of ammonia in the spray water sprayed at the compartment in which there is ammonia, piping that allows the ammonia water to flow from the second storage unit to the first storage unit, and a valve that is provided on the piping.
