An electronic device that extracts keyword information from conversations between people based on artificial intelligence is disclosed. An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention controls a storage unit to store text recording a conversation between a person and a storage unit and a plurality of keywords defined according to a predetermined classification criterion, and based on the plurality of keywords defined, filters a plurality of keywords included in at least one sentence included in the text, and when a second keyword among the plurality of keywords is searched in one direction based on a first keyword among the filtered plurality of keywords, generates a first keyword set including the first keyword and the second keyword, and when a non-keyword is searched in the one direction, terminates the keyword search for the one direction, and when a third keyword among the plurality of keywords is searched in the other direction based on the first keyword among the filtered plurality of keywords, includes the third keyword in the first keyword set, and when a non-keyword is searched in the other direction, terminates the keyword search for the other direction, determines a category of the first keyword set based on the predetermined classification criterion, and stores the first keyword set and the determined category by matching.
