Abstract
A device, comprising: a first reflector; a second reflector; a modulation layer located between the first reflector and the second reflector and comprising a plurality of modulation regions; a diffraction layer located between the modulation layer and the second reflector; and an input port for admitting a light beam into the device. The light beam passes through the diffraction layer and is modulated by the modulation layer to produce a first modulated light beam before being reflected by the first reflector, the first reflector reflecting the first modulated light beam toward the second reflector, and the second reflector reflecting the first modulated light beam toward the modulation layer for at least a second modulation.
