A polyolefin flame-retardant master batch and a preparation method thereof

Abstract

This invention discloses a polyolefin flame-retardant masterbatch and its preparation method, which is prepared from 60-80 parts of polyolefin, 10-16 parts of melamine cyanurate, 2-4 parts of zinc aluminate, and 0.1-0.3 parts of antioxidant in parts by weight. The zinc aluminate in the polyolefin flame-retardant masterbatch prepared by this invention produces alumina during decomposition, which can promote the carbonization of the polyolefin resin matrix. Furthermore, the zinc aluminate forms an interwoven network structure in the polyolefin matrix, resulting in a continuous, flocculent protective char layer with a network structure on the surface of the polyolefin material during combustion. Therefore, it can increase the final char residue of the polyolefin composite material, achieving a flame-retardant effect.
