Method for refining sodium carbonate

Abstract

The present application relates to a refining method of glauber's salt, belonging to the field of inorganic chemical purification technology. The method uses natural mirabilite from a mining site as the starting material, and sequentially removes impurities by dissolving and filtering, precipitates by a complexing precipitant, ion exchanges by a chelating resin, concentrates by membrane distillation, modifies by a silane coupling agent, induces cooling crystallization by sodium sulfate decahydrate seed, and dries and dehydrates, to obtain high-purity glauber's salt. The present application organically connects chemical precipitation, oxidative degradation, ion exchange, physical adsorption, low-temperature membrane concentration, and surface modification induced crystallization technology, to realize the step-by-step cooperative removal of clay minerals, calcium, magnesium, iron ions, and trace organic matter and pigments in natural mirabilite, and the obtained product has high purity and good whiteness, the process has low energy consumption and is green and environmentally friendly, and is suitable for industrial application.
