The application relates to the technical field of image recognition, and discloses a medicine bottle recognition method and device based on multi-stage visual recognition and a biological safety cabinet. The medicine bottle recognition method comprises the following steps: acquiring a to-be-recognized image containing at least one medicine bottle; inputting the to-be-recognized image into a first recognition model to obtain target position information corresponding to each medicine bottle in the to-be-recognized image; obtaining medicine bottle region images respectively containing single medicine bottles from the to-be-recognized image according to the target position information; and inputting each medicine bottle region image into a second recognition model to obtain a medicine bottle category corresponding to each medicine bottle region image. Through the stage-by-stage processing of the medicine bottle target positioning task and the medicine bottle category recognition task, the recognition accuracy of appearance-similar medicine bottles is improved, and the possibility of medicine bottle misrecognition is reduced.
