AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The prior art tends to cause deformation of raw materials when shearing the pillar channels, and the cutting ends are not perpendicular, affecting the quality of the workpiece.

Method used

A shearing tool including a housing, a drive housing, an output end and a mold is designed. The mold has a reversible mold holding mechanism that allows the mold to move from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration without using the tool and to adapt to deformation of the strut passages by chamfering design.

Benefits of technology

The quality and efficiency of the shear strut passages are significantly improved by reducing raw material deformation and improving the verticality of the cutting ends.

Abstract

A shearing tool for shearing a strut channel includes: a housing; a drive housing coupled to the housing; the output end can move between an extending position and a retracting position along the longitudinal axis relative to the driving sleeve shell; and a mold. The mold includes: a front surface; a back side opposite the front side; and a cutout extending through the front face and the back face, the cutout configured to receive a strut channel therethrough. The mold retention mechanism is movable between a locked configuration in which the mold retention mechanism couples the mold to the output end for movement therewith between an extended position and a retracted position, and an unlocked configuration in which the mold is removable from the drive housing. The mold retention mechanism is movable from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration without the use of a tool.
