Abstract

A display device comprising multiple pixel areas is provided. Each pixel area can contain a first subpixel, a second subpixel, and a third subpixel. Each subpixel can contain a first emission surface and a second emission surface. The first emission surface can have the shape of a bar extending in a first direction. The second emission surface can have a shape different from that of the first emission surface. The second emission surface of each subpixel can be arranged adjacent to the first emission surface of the corresponding subpixel in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The first emission surface and the second emission surface of the first subpixel can be arranged in the same order as the first emission surface and the second emission surface of the second subpixel.The first and second emission surfaces of the first subpixel can be located between the first and second emission surfaces of the third subpixel, and the first and second emission surfaces of the second subpixel can be located outside the first and second emission surfaces of the third subpixel. This minimizes the reduction in image quality at low grayscale levels due to leakage current in the display device.
