Description

Technical area

[0001] The present invention relates to a lighting device, in particular in the form of a spotlight or pendant light, intended for use in living spaces, work environments, or other indoor spaces. The lighting device comprises a lamp head (1), a mounting unit, and a joint (2) connecting the lamp head to the mounting unit. State of the art

[0002] Lighting devices are known in the art that use mechanical joints or other adjustment mechanisms to adjust the position and orientation of the luminaire head relative to the mounting unit. However, such designs have several disadvantages. Mechanical joints typically consist of multiple components, making the design more complex and manufacturing more costly. Finally, visible joint mechanisms can detract from the luminaire's design and contradict the requirements of a modern, minimalist design. Object of the invention

[0003] The object of the present invention is to provide a lighting device which enables simple and reliable adjustment of the position and orientation of the lamp head (1) without having the disadvantages mentioned above. Solution to the task

[0004] This object is achieved according to the invention in that the joint (2) of the lighting device consists of two exposed, conductive wires (2). Each of the two wires contains a rigid wire that retains its shape when bent and simultaneously ensures the electrical connection between the mounting unit and the lamp head (1). The joint (2) thus fulfills a dual function: On the one hand, it serves as a connecting element that allows the position and alignment of the light head (1) relative to the mounting unit to be flexibly and continuously adjusted. On the other hand, it ensures electrical contact between the mounting unit and the light source located in the light head (1). Thanks to the rigid properties of the wires (2), the light head (1) can be reliably held in the set position and alignment without the need for additional mechanical components. The weight of the light head (1) is dimensioned such that the deformed wires (2) reliably maintain the set alignment. Advantages of the invention

[0005] The lighting device according to the invention is characterized by several advantages. The use of the conductive wires as a joint (2) significantly reduces the complexity of the design, as mechanical adjustment mechanisms can be completely dispensed with, thus reducing manufacturing costs. Furthermore, the integration of the conductive wires (2) into the joint enables a minimalist design of the luminaire, which particularly meets the requirements of modern design solutions. Operation is further simplified by the continuous adjustability. Example

[0006] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the joint consists of two exposed wires (2), each containing single-wire copper conductors. These conductors are enclosed in an insulating sheath that provides both mechanical protection and electrical safety. The wires are preferably connected to the light head (1) by electrically conductive clamping devices, such as spring-loaded terminals, which enable secure and maintenance-free contact. The light head (1) is made of a lightweight material such as aluminum or plastic and contains an LED light source, as well as a lens (3) or a diffuser. The mounting unit is universally designed and can be used, for example, for attachment to a ceiling or a light rail. When deformed, the wires (2) retain their position and alignment and bear the weight of the light head (1), while simultaneously providing the power supply.

[0007] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings. They show: Fig. 1 to Fig. 3 the lighting device according to a preferred embodiment of the invention in different functional positions, as axonometric views slightly obliquely from below.

[0008] The representation of the wires (2) is schematic, as the assembly unit is not part of the claimed invention. This can be designed in any way. List of reference symbols (1) Luminaire head: The housing of the luminaire that contains the light source, lens or diffuser. (2) Joint / wires: Connecting element consisting of two conductive, rigid wires that electrically and mechanically connect the luminaire head to the mounting unit. (3) Lens / Diffuser: Optical element for light control, which is part of the lamp head.
