TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] This presentation concerns the general technical field of laundry care appliances, and more specifically cordless irons. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] Among laundry care appliances, irons allow the removal of creases from clothes and fabrics through a combination of heat and pressure.
[0003] Irons may have a separate base on which the iron's heating soleplate rests when the appliance is not in use. These appliances may include a steam generation function to facilitate ironing. In this case, the appliance includes a reservoir for supplying water to the steam generator. As described in documents EP 2 933 372 and EP 4 242 370, steam irons include means for securing the front part of the iron to the base, thus providing a solution for transporting, storing, and securing the iron. However, these appliances have limited freedom of movement due to the presence of the steam cord between the base and the iron.
[0004] Furthermore, there are cordless irons that allow you to iron without being hindered by a cord, thus offering greater freedom of movement and increased maneuverability. The cordless iron sits on a charging base connected to the electrical grid. The iron includes a water tank, a steam chamber, a soleplate, and a heating element positioned in contact with the soleplate. The soleplate is heated by the energy supplied to the heating element via the charging base. US patent 3,745,676 describes such a cordless iron. French patent 2,967,172 also describes a cordless iron, whose charging base includes a domed boss on which the soleplate rests when the iron is placed on the base for charging.
[0005] However, the way cordless irons stay on their base is imperfect, especially during transport and storage of the appliance. GENERAL STATEMENT
[0006] One aim of this application is to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a household laundry care appliance with improved safety.
[0007] Another objective of this application is to propose a household laundry care appliance that is easy to transport and store.
[0008] This application concerns a household laundry care appliance, comprising: A cordless iron comprising a body, a soleplate attached to the body, and a handle extending from the body; a charging base with a base designed to receive the iron's soleplate; and guiding and locking means designed to guide the iron onto the charging base into a charging position and to lock the iron's head and heel in the charging position, thus allowing the appliance to be carried by the handle. This makes placing the iron easier for the user and ensures more precise positioning on the charging base. Charging the iron onto the base is also improved. The cordless iron offers greater freedom of movement and improved maneuverability compared to a steam generator iron with a cord connecting the base to the iron.In addition, the safety of using the appliance is improved, as the iron cannot detach from the charging base during transport or storage, and the entire appliance can be carried as a single unit by the carrying handle.
[0009] The guiding and locking means may include a fin extending rearward from the body of the iron and a cavity formed in the charging base. The cavity has a shape complementary to the fin and is designed to receive the fin so as to guide the iron onto the charging base into the charging position. The fin helps to hold the iron in position on the charging base when the iron is in the charging position.
[0010] A notch may be formed in the fin, and the charging base may include a locking pin extending from the charging base so as to engage in the notch when the iron is placed on the charging base. The notch is designed to allow the locking pin to engage in the notch by a recoiling movement of the iron in a plane parallel to the base plane. The shape of the notch prevents the heel of the iron from lifting relative to the base when the iron is in the charging position. Thus, the base forms a ramp for positioning the iron, contributing to better guidance and securing the iron in place on the base. The heel of the iron is locked onto the charging base, in contact with it, when the iron is in the charging position.
[0012] The mounting and locking means may include a locking element attached to and pivotally fixed to the charging base between a folded position, in which the locking element releases the iron body, and a locked position, in which the locking element engages the iron body, for example, in which the locking element engages the iron head, thus retaining the body between the locking element and the charging base. A household appliance comprising both a notched fin and a locking element is therefore locked against the charging base at its head and heel, allowing the entire appliance to be lifted by the handle.

The household appliance further includes a charging base 20 having a base 21 designed to receive the soleplate 13 of the iron 10.

[0056] The hoop 40 may include a flexible section molded into the hollow part of the hoop 40 that comes into contact with the body 12 of the iron 10 when the hoop 40 is in the locked position. The hoop 40 may consist of a plastic piece comprising two arms defining a shape substantially resembling an inverted V. The two arms of the V are connected by a spacer inserted into two openings in tabs arranged inside the charging base 20. The spacer extends substantially in the width direction corresponding to a pivot axis of the hoop 40.

Thus, the locking and unlocking of the hoop 40 is automatic and requires no manual action from the user.More specifically, the return means may include a spring, for example two helical torsion springs arranged near a lower end of each of the arms of the hoop 40. Each spring then includes a first end connected to the charging base 20 and a second end connected to a corresponding arm of the hoop 40. Such return means are illustrated in more detail in patent application FR 1 452 469 filed by the applicant.

Claims
1. A household appliance for laundry care, comprising: - a cordless iron (10) including a body (12), a soleplate (13) attached to and fixed to the body (12), and a handle (11) extending from the body (12), - a charging base (20) having a base (21) provided for receiving the soleplate (13) of the iron (10), and - guiding and locking means (30, 40) provided for guiding the placement of the iron (10) on the charging base (20) to a charging position and for locking a head and a heel of the iron (10) in the charging position, so as to allow the appliance to be carried by the handle (11), wherein the guiding and locking means (30, 40) include a fin (31) extending rearward from the body (12) of the iron. (10) and a cavity (32) formed in the charging base (20),the cavity (32) having a shape complementary to the fin (31) and being designed to receive the fin (31) so as to guide the placement of the iron (10) on the charging base (20) towards the charging position, , characterized in that a notch (33) is formed in the fin (31) and in which the charging base (20) includes a locking pin (34) extending projecting from the charging base (20) so as to be received in the notch (33) when the iron (10) is placed on the charging base (20), said locking pin (34) cooperating with the notch (33) when the iron (10) is in the charging position to prevent the heel of the iron (10) from lifting relative to the charging base (20) when an upward pull is exerted on the gripping handle (11).
2. Household appliance according to claim 1, wherein the base (21) extends substantially in a base plane (P), the base plane (P) being for example inclined towards the cavity (32), the notch (33) being provided to allow the locking pin (34) to engage in the notch (33) by a recoil movement of the iron (10) in a plane parallel to the base plane (P), a shape of the notch (33) preventing the heel of the iron (10) from lifting relative to the base (21) when the iron (10) is in the charging position.

Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 2, wherein the positioning and locking means (30, 40) comprise a locking element (40) attached and pivotally fixed to the charging base (20) between a folded position in which the locking element (40) releases the body (12) of the iron (10), and a locking position in which the locking element (40) engages the body (12) of the iron (10), for example in which the locking element (40) engages the head of the iron (10), so as to retain the body (12) between the locking element (40) and the charging base (20).
4. Household appliance according to claim 3, wherein the locking element (40) has the form of a pivotally mounted hoop on the charging base (20).

Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the base (21) extends substantially in a base plane (P), and wherein the base (21) comprises at least one roller (210) on which the sole (13) of the iron (10) can roll during the recoil movement of the iron (10) in a plane parallel to the base plane (P).
6. Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 5, further comprising an electrical connector (50) providing power to the iron (10) in the charging position, the electrical connector (50) comprising a first part disposed on the charging base (20) and a second part disposed at the heel of the iron (10).
7. Household appliance according to claim 6, wherein the charging base (20) further comprises a pivoting flap designed to be moved by the fin (31) from a closed position to an open position when the iron (10) is placed on the charging base (20).
8. Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the charging base (20) includes a power cord and the iron (10) includes a heating element intended to heat the soleplate (13) when the power cord is connected to an electrical outlet and the household appliance is in the charging position.
