AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing load securing systems for vehicles, such as those used for transporting large bales of fodder or other cylindrical loads, are either rigid and damaging or flexible but prone to tension loss and poor adaptability, failing to provide optimal support and ease of use.

Method used

A flexible elongated element secured by a slide connection to vertical uprights with adjustable length, tensioned by a spring mechanism, allowing adaptation to load dimensions and preventing damage, with pivoting assemblies for easy loading and unloading.

Benefits of technology

The system provides reliable, adjustable, and damage-free load retention, adaptable to various load shapes and sizes, with reduced noise and cost, facilitating easy installation and versatile use.

Abstract

The invention relates to a load securing device (D) for a vehicle (V), which load securing device (D) comprises at least one flexible longitudinal element (1) whose two longitudinal ends are coupled to a pair of uprights (2), the flexible longitudinal element(s) (1) extending horizontally between said uprights (2), at least one of the longitudinal ends of the flexible longitudinal element(s) (1) being coupled to the respective upright (2) by a connecting assembly (3) integral with said longitudinal end and cooperating with said upright (2). The connecting assembly(s) (3) is mounted to move in translation relative to the upright (2) by means of a sliding joint in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the upright (2) and parallel to the plane comprising the pair of uprights (2). The invention also relates to a load-transporting vehicle (V) comprising at least one such load securing device (D).Figure to be published with the abbreviation: Figure 1.
