Title of the invention: Chalk-based composition and its uses

[0001] The invention relates to a chalk-based composition and its uses as a cosmetic and pharmaceutical composition.

[0002] Within the range of cosmetic and aesthetic treatments, body wraps hold a special place in beauty salons and spas. Such wraps consist of covering all or part of the body with various mixtures made up of mud and different products with therapeutic or at least cosmetic properties, offering a moment of well-being for the person receiving the treatment.

[0092] The following mixture is prepared for 1 kg of composition: - 140g of chalk, - 60g of clay, - 800g of dealcoholized champagne from the Henri Giraud estate, Aÿ-en- Champagne.

[0114] For formulation 1, after 30 minutes, a significant phase shift is observed in Figure IA. The chalk has precipitated significantly, and the liquid level is at 360 mL (corresponding to a solid level of 540 mL). After 3 hours, Figure 1B shows an even more pronounced phase shift, and the liquid level is at 600 mL (corresponding to a solid level of 300 mL). The phase shift is complete; all the chalk has precipitated.

[0115] For formulation 2, at 30 min, no phase shift is observed as shown in Figure 2A, and a very slight phase shift is observable at 3h with a liquid level of 2ml (i.e. a solid level of 880 mL) as shown in Figure 2B.

[0118] The viscosity of the formulations was also measured as a function of time ([Fig.4]). The viscosity of formulation 1 remains stable for up to 17 hours after mixing, at around a value of 28 mPa.s'. Such a viscosity is too low for good application to the skin, at the risk of not being able to achieve a stable application, i.e., one that does not glide.

[0125] Finally, tests were carried out with a formulation 5 comprising 60% chalk and 40% clay. This formulation does not separate even after 17 hours, immediately reaches the viscosity plateau of formulation 3, and has a conductivity of more than 2 mS / cm.

[0126] The best composition is therefore formulation 3, which offers all the expected advantages and whose viscosity is not at its maximum during mixing, thus facilitating application during treatment. Formulations 2 and 5 are, however, perfectly acceptable.

Demands

1. Composition consisting of mud and chalk, the mud comprising an aqueous phase and clay where the chalk represents 60 to 75%, preferably 70% to 75%, by mass relative to the total mass of chalk and clay.

2. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the clay is selected from smectites, in particular montmorillonite and bentonite.

3. Composition according to claim 1 or 2, said composition having a minimum viscosity of 150 mPA / s, and a conductivity greater than 1 mS / cm.

4. Composition according to any one of claims 1 to 3, or the aqueous phase is water or dealcoholized wine, dealcoholized sparkling wine, or one of their precursors.

5. Compositions according to claim 4, wherein dealcoholized sparkling wine or one of its precursors is enriched with CO2.

6. Use of the composition as defined in any one of claims 1 to 5, for cosmetic application on the skin.

7. A non-therapeutic cosmetic method of wrapping an individual, comprising a step of topical application of a layer of the composition as defined in any one of claims 1 to 5.

8. Cosmetic method according to claim 7, wherein the layer has a thickness of 1 to 20 mm.
