Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Separator for a livestock building, in particular for cattle Technical field of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of livestock farming.
[0002] It relates in particular to separators for a livestock building, in particular for cattle. State of the art
[0003] In a livestock building, particularly for cattle, it is useful to install dividers to delimit the space available for each animal and to reduce the pressure of dominant animals at the feed trough.
[0004] Such separators are generally installed on comadis barriers. They can also be useful along rest areas, particularly cubicles.
[0005] However, in practice, the structure of these separators is not always optimal, with risks of injury to the animals or insufficient restraint for proper positioning and therefore good hygiene.
[0006] To limit this risk, there are separators which include:
[0007] - a rigid front part, comprising at least one tubular metal component, and
[0008] - a flexible rear part,
[0009] But current flexible separators are not yet entirely satisfactory in terms of installation.
[0010] Indeed, the receiving structures often include a metal framework intended to receive fastening interfaces carried by the separators.
[0011] However, the positioning of these solidarity interfaces is sometimes not adapted to certain reception structures. Presentation of the invention

[0054] Of course, the various features, variants, and embodiments of the invention can be combined in various ways, provided they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. Detailed description of the invention
[0055] In addition, various other features of the invention become apparent from the attached description made with reference to the drawings which illustrate non-limiting embodiments of the invention and where:
[0056] [Fig-1] is a schematic, side view of a separator according to the invention;
[0057] [Fig.2] is a partial and enlarged view of the separator according to [Fig.1], illustrating in in particular the assembly between the two tubular metal parts;
[0058] [Fig.3] is a partial and enlarged view of the separator according to [Fig.1], illustrating in in particular the lower bonding interface.
[0059] It should be noted that, in these figures, the structural and / or functional elements common to the different variants may have the same references.
[0060] The present invention thus relates to a separator 1 for a livestock building B, in particular for cattle.
[0061] The separator 1 is intended to be secured with a receiving structure C (represented very schematically in the figures), for example a feed barrier or within cubicles (not shown).
[0062] Such a separator 1 is particularly useful for delimiting the space available for each animal (for example cattle, and in particular dairy cows).
[0063] At the level of a feed barrier C, the separator 1, also called the "feed barrier separator", is particularly useful for delimiting the space available for each animal (e.g. cattle, and in particular dairy cows) within a feeding walk M.
[0064] In this case, the separator 1 is intended to be joined to the feed barrier C, which is advantageously conventional in itself.
[0065] Generally, such a headgate barrier C comprises two longitudinal bars Cl, C2 (one lower C2 and the other upper Cl), horizontal, connected by uprights C3, C4, vertical.
[0066] Pairs of uprights C3, C4 delimit, with the two longitudinal bars Cl, C2, an opening adapted for the passage of an animal's head.
[0067] To ensure restraint, a first upright C3 of each pair of uprights C3, C4 is equipped with an oscillating restraint bar C5.
[0068] The oscillating restraint bar C5, opposite the second upright C4, is advantageously movable between two end-of-stroke positions:
[0069] - a "free" position, advantageously inclined, to allow the passage of the head of the animal in both directions, and
[0070] - a "restraint" position, advantageously vertical and parallel to the second Mount C4, preventing the animal's head from passing through in either direction.
[0071] Generally, the separator 1 comprises two parts:
[0072] - a rigid front part 5, advantageously designed to extend at the head and the animal's shoulders, and
[0073] - a flexible rear portion 6, advantageously designed to extend at the level of the animal flanks.
[0074] The front part 5 and the rear part 6 advantageously extend in the same general plane P, preferably vertical and perpendicular to a longitudinal plane C' of the receiving structure C.
[0075] The front part 5 and the rear part 6 advantageously have particular dimensions (measured in the general plane P), namely preferably:
[0076] - the front part 5 has a horizontal dimension ranging from 20 to 50 cm (perpendicular to the longitudinal plane C' of the receiving structure C, advantageously corresponding to the center-to-center distance between a rising section 521 of the front part 5 and the fastening means 7 with the receiving structure C, described below), and
[0077] - the rear part 6 has a horizontal dimension ranging from 50 to 150 cm (perpendicular to the longitudinal plane C' of the receiving structure C, advantageously corresponding to the center distance between the rising section 521 of the front part 5 and a rear end 6a of the rear part 6, free, described below).
[0078] In general, the front part 5 advantageously extends in cantilever from the receiving structure C; and the rear part 6 advantageously extends in cantilever from the front part 5. Front section
[0079] The rigid front part 5, comprising at least one tubular metal element 51.
[0080] Said at least one tubular metal element 51 advantageously has the following dimensions, which can be taken in combination or independently of each other:
[0081] - a diameter ranging from 40 to 70 mm, and
[0082] - a thickness ranging from 2 to 5 mm.
[0083] Said at least one tubular metal organ 51 includes means of securing 7 with the receiving structure C, namely at least two securing interfaces 71, 72.
[0084] Said at least two fastening interfaces 71, 72 are each intended to ensure fastening between said at least one metallic tubular member 51 and said receiving structure C.
[0085] Said at least two joining interfaces 71, 72 are advantageously superimposed in the general plane P.
[0086] And, according to the invention, this front part 5 is structured to allow a translational play between the joining interfaces 71, 72, so as to allow an adjustment in spacing between these joining interfaces 71, 72.
[0087] In other words, the spacing adjustment between the bonding interfaces 71, 72 advantageously corresponds to a distance adjustment between these bonding interfaces 71, 72 according to a dimension J defined in the general plane P, said dimension being intended to extend parallel to the longitudinal plane C' of the receiving structure C.
[0088] The dimension J still advantageously corresponds to a distance defined by the center distances 71', 72' passing through the two fastening interfaces 71, 72
[0089] According to a preferred embodiment, the front part 5 comprises at least two tubular metal elements 52, 53, each of which comprises at least one of the joining interfaces 71, 72.
[0090] And said at least two tubular metal elements 52, 53 cooperate through at least one sliding assembly 8, allowing translational play between said tubular metal elements 52, 53.
[0091] Preferably, said at least one sliding assembly 8 is chosen from:
[0092] - a pair of assembly sections 81, in which the tubular elements metallic parts 52, 53 cooperate by fitting, advantageously in combination with means for translational locking (not shown - for example a translational locking screw), or
[0093] - a link interface 82, adjustable along the length of at least one of said tubular metal components 52, 53, advantageously in combination with means for translational locking (not shown - for example a translational locking screw).
[0094] In particular, on the one hand, the pair of assembly sections 81 advantageously forms a telescopic structure.
[0095] As further developed, the tubular metal components 52, 53 comprise sections fitted one into the other, while allowing relative translational movement.
[0096] On the other hand, the connecting interface 82 advantageously includes a clamping collar which is, on the one hand, adjustable by sliding along the length of a metallic tubular element 52 and, on the other hand, carried by one end of the other metallic tubular element 53.
[0097] According to a preferred embodiment, said front part 5 comprises two tubular metal elements 52, 53, assembled with a translational clearance, namely:
[0098] - a first tubular metallic element 52, generally C-shaped, opening towards the receiving structure C, and
[0099] - a second tubular metal element 53, forming a cross member, extending between the receiving structure C and the first tubular metal component 52.
[0100] The first tubular metal component 52 comprises at least three structural sections, namely:
[0101] - an uphill section 521, advantageously comprising at least a portion straight along all or part of its length, intended to be positioned opposite and at a distance from the receiving structure C,
[0102] - a lower return section 522, of which a front end 522a carries an interface of lower solidarity 71, and
[0103] - an upper return section 523, advantageously comprising a transverse arm 5231 and a rising arm 5232.
[0104] The rising arm 5232 has a front end 5232a.
[0105] Preferably, the rising section 521 and the rising arm 5232 extend parallel to each other.
[0106] The second tubular metal element 53, forming a cross member, advantageously straight, has two ends:
[0107] - a front end 531, equipped with a top fastening interface 72,
[0108] - a rear end 532, comprising a link interface 82, interposed between the second metal tubular element 53 and the rising section 521 of the first metal tubular element 52, said connecting interface 82 being adjustable over the length of this rising section 521.
[0109] The linking interface 82 advantageously comprises a combination of two collars 821, 822 ([Fig.2]):
[0110] - a first collar 821, also called a "sleeve", fitted onto the rear end 532 of the second tubular metal component 53, and
[0111] - a second collar 822, encircling the rising section 521 of the first component tubular metal 52, advantageously on a straight section.
[0112] This second tubular metal element 53 also includes a lateral assembly section 533, cooperating by fitting with the upper return section 523 of the first tubular metal element 52 (in particular in its rising arm 5232), forming a pair of assembly sections 81.
[0113] In other words, the assembly section 533 is introduced here through the front end 5232a of the rising arm 5232.
[0114] Preferably, the assembly section 533 and the rising arm 5232 are straight and coaxial, to promote sliding.
[0115] For example, the length of the assembly section 533 and the rising arm 5232 is from 10 to 35 cm.
[0116] In general terms, the inner section of the rising arm 5232 corresponds, within clearance, to the outer section of the assembly section.
[0117] Advantageously, the lateral assembly section 533 is provided between the front end 531 and the rear end 532 of the second tubular metal element 53.
[0118] Preferably, the assembly section 533 extends parallel to the rising section 521 of the first tubular metal element 52.
[0119] Preferably, the assembly section 533, forming a male part, is inserted and slides into the rising arm 5232 of the upper return section 523 (forming a female part).
[0120] Thus, the second tubular metal element 53 is here mobile in sliding, parallel to itself, on at least a straight portion of the length of the rising section 521 and in a direction parallel to this rising section 521.
[0121] Moreover, in general, the fastening means 7 are advantageously chosen from among the mechanical linking means adapted to fastening with the receiving structure C, for example collars coming around the longitudinal bars and / or the vertical uprights.
[0122] Such means of solidarity 7 are described for example in document FR3124924.
[0123] For example, for a reception structure C in the form of a comadis barrier, the means of securing 7 include:
[0124] - a superior fastening interface 72 ([Fig.2]), adapted to be fastened with an amount C3, C4 of the barrier to comadis C, and
[0125] - a lower fastening interface 71 ([Fig.3]), adapted to be fastened with a longitudinal bar Cl, C2 of said comadis barrier C.
[0126] Preferably, the upper fastening interface 72 consists of a fixing collar.
[0127] More specifically, this upper fastening interface 72 advantageously comprises a combination of two collars 721, 722 ([Fig.2]):
[0128] - a first collar 721, also called a "sleeve", fitted onto the front end 531 of the second tubular metal component 53, and
[0129] - a second collar 722, encircling the upright C3, C4 of the feed barrier C, advantageously on a straight section.
[0130] Preferably, the lower joining interface 71 comprises two joining zones 711, adapted to be joined with the longitudinal bar Cl, C2 of the comadis barrier C, on either side of an upright C3, C4 ([Fig.3]).
[0131] Preferably, the lower fastening interface 71 comprises two flanges 711 adapted to be positioned around the longitudinal bar Cl, C2 of the comadis barrier C, on either side of the upright C3, C4.
[0132] Generally, again according to a preferred embodiment illustrated in [Fig.1], said at least one metallic tubular member 51 comprises at least one female receiving conduit 522, which has a rear end 5222 provided with an opening 5223 opening opposite the joining interfaces 71, 72.
[0133] As further developed, said at least one receiving conduit 522 is intended to receive a section of the rear part 6 by fitting.
[0134] In this case, said at least one receiving conduit 522 extends over at least part of the length of at least one of the structural sections 521, 522, 523 of the first metallic tubular element 52, preferably at least one of the two return sections 522, 523.
[0135] Preferably, said at least one receiving conduit 522 is formed by the lower return section 522 (designated by the same reference for the sake of understanding).
[0136] The opening 5223 of said at least one receiving conduit 522 is advantageously provided at the junction between the receiving conduit 522 (in other words the lower return section 522) and said rising section 521.
[0137] Said at least one receiving conduit 522 of said tubular metal member 51 defines an angle ranging from 1° to 50° with respect to a horizontal plane, with an increasing slope in the front-to-back direction. Rear section
[0138] According to one embodiment, the rear part 6, flexible, comprises (or even consists of) at least one flexible longitudinal member 6 (designated by the same reference mark for the sake of simplicity).
[0139] By "longitudinal component", one advantageously means a part having the general shape of a bar.
[0140] By "flexible longitudinal organ 6", we mean in particular a longitudinal organ which is capable, on the one hand, of being deformed by the animal coming to lean on the rear part 6 and, on the other hand, of fully regaining its shape after the cessation of the support exerted by the animal.
[0141] Each flexible longitudinal organ 6 is advantageously straight, at rest.
[0142] A flexible longitudinal member 6 is for example made of a plastic material, chosen for example from HDPE, PP, advantageously tubular.
[0143] A free rear end 6a of this flexible longitudinal member 6 advantageously comprises a protective element, advantageously a spherical piece (or advantageously a piece in the shape of a spherical cap).
[0144] The flexible longitudinal member 6 advantageously has the following dimensions, which can be taken in combination or independently of each other:
[0145] - a length ranging from 200 to 2000 mm,
[0146] - a diameter ranging from 20 to 70 mm,
[0147] - a thickness ranging from 5 to 20 mm.
[0148] Generally, said at least one flexible longitudinal organ 6 comprises:
[0149] - a forward section 61 (not visible), male, which is introduced into said at least one receiving conduit 522, through said opening 5223, advantageously in a removable manner, and
[0150] - a rear section 62, free, forming said rear part 6.
[0151] Preferably, the front section 61, male, is introduced into said at least a receiving conduit 522, through said opening 5223, without means of locking in translation.
[0152] The rear section 62 extends in cantilever from the tubular metal component 51.
[0153] Preferably, said at least one forward section 61 of said at least one flexible longitudinal member 6, and said at least one receiving conduit 522 of said metallic tubular member 51, are straight.
[0154] In general terms, the internal section of said at least one receiving conduit 522 of said metallic tubular member 51 corresponds, within clearance, to the external section of said at least one front section 61 of said at least one flexible longitudinal member 6.
[0155] And, preferably, the rear section 62 of the flexible longitudinal member 6 extends cantilevered from said at least one tubular metal member 51.
[0156] Preferably, said at least one flexible longitudinal member 6 defines an angle ranging from 1° to 50° with respect to a horizontal plane, with an increasing slope in the front-to-back direction. Separation system
[0157] In practice, the invention is implemented in the form of a separation system which comprises:
[0158] - several separators 1 according to the invention, advantageously arranged in a row,
[0159] and possibly
[0160] - a longitudinal bar 10 attached to be secured to the separators 1 juxtaposed, and / or
[0161] - spraying means 11, for cooling animals, advantageously supported by the added longitudinal bar 10.
[0162] The structure of the separators 1 has the advantage of offering a solution adaptable to a range of receiving structures C.
[0163] In particular, the joining interfaces 71, 72 are adjustable in spacing, which makes it possible to remedy the problems of bulkiness at the level of the receiving structure C.
[0164] In this case, the separator 1 can be positioned at the level of the receiving structure C.
[0165] If necessary, the second metal tubular element 53 can be maneuvered by sliding along the rising section 521 of the first metal tubular element 52, so as to adjust the spacing of the bonding interfaces 71, 72 according to the conformation of the receiving structure C.
[0166] During this movement, the assembly section pair 81 also adjusts in length: the assembly section 533 of the second tubular metal element 53 slides within the rising arm 5232 of the upper return section 523.
[0167] For example, the second tubular metal element 53 is movable so that dimension J is advantageously from 10 to 25 cm.
[0168] In other words, the second tubular metal element 53 is mobile in translation over a stroke of 5 to 25 cm.
[0169] More generally, the second tubular metal element 53 is advantageously movable, relative to the rising arm 5232 of the upper return section 523, over a stroke ranging from:
[0170] - a maximum high position, at a distance from the lower return section 522, in in which the second tubular metal component 53 rests on the rising arm 5232 of the upper return section 523 (in particular at its forward end 5232a), and
[0171] - a maximum low position, close to the lower return section 522, in in which the second tubular metal element 53 is separated from the rising arm 5232 of the upper return section 523 (in particular from its front end 5232a).
[0172] When the fastening means 7 are properly positioned, they are fastened to the receiving structure C.
[0173] In parallel, said at least one sliding assembly 8 is locked, advantageously via translational locking means (not shown - for example a translational locking screw), to participate in the stability of the separator 1.
[0174] Furthermore, the added longitudinal bar 10 is here secured with the front part 5, preferably at the upper end of the rising section 521 or at the upper return section 523.
[0175] In general terms, the spraying means 11 consist, for example, of nozzles connected to a water supply circuit.
[0176] The livestock building B is thus equipped with a separation system according to the invention, attached to a receiving structure C, for example a comadis barrier.
[0177] If necessary, to move a vehicle between two rows of separators 1, it is possible to temporarily dismantle the rear part 6 of the latter.
[0178] The machine can then move in the "enlarged" space which is delimited by the front parts 5 of these two rows of separators 1.
[0179] At the end of the intervention, the rear parts 6 of these two rows of separators 1 can be put back in place.
[0180] Of course, various other modifications can be made to the invention within the scope of the annexed claims.
