Abstract

Medical garment for Parkinson's patients using an apomorphine pump. The invention of this vest model allows Parkinson's patients to wear their apomorphine treatment device in a garment specifically designed for their comfort, replacing the elastic belt usually supplied with the medication. The apomorphine pump device comes with a pouch and a belt, made of synthetic material and generally worn directly against the skin, which causes heaviness and discomfort for the patient, as well as a risk of the tubing detaching.The solution I propose involves manufacturing a vest made of hypoallergenic material, equipped with pockets and an opening system adapted to the apomorphine pump. This allows for: easier handling of the device by both the patient and the nurse; an improved dressing process thanks to a separating zipper opening on the front of the vest; enhanced security for the medical device, which is thus protected under the vest; and discreet clothing. [0001] The present invention relates to a specific type of garment: a vest with pockets, suitable for Parkinson's patients undergoing treatment by infusion with an apomorphine pump.

This allows the device to be routed from the patient's skin to the outer pockets, securing the tubing under the vest. • The vest opens completely at the front thanks to a separating zipper. • The vest is made from hypoallergenic fabric. The patient can wear this vest as underwear or as daytime clothing. Furthermore, this vest will be available in men's and women's versions, as well as versions adapted for other patients also receiving diffusion therapy.
