A seat member for a racing car

Abstract

Seat member 10 comprises: a main body 11 having an air chamber (20, Fig. 3); at least one air inlet (22, Fig. 3) in communication with chamber (20, Fig. 3) and an air source; and a plurality of outlets 24 connected to chamber (20, Fig. 3). Seat 10 is configured for use in a racing car. Optionally seat 10 has a cover (60, Fig. 9) at least partially surrounding body 11, and it may have a mesh portion (62, Fig. 9) next to the outlets 24. Seat 10 may have: a removable auxiliary seat member (30, Fig. 5) having a plurality of apertures (34, Fig. 5) aligned with outlets 24; and / or a shoulder extension (130, Fig. 8) optionally having: an auxiliary air chamber (150, Fig. 8) and air outlets (154, Fig. 8); and / or an auxiliary air inlet.
