Haircare

Abstract

A haircare system includes a hair styling device 10 and a liquid delivery arrangement 12. The hair styling device has a heater 36 and a styling surface 38 for contacting hair. The liquid delivery arrangement has a dispenser 44 located externally to the styling surface and configured to dispense a liquid toward the styling surface. The heater of the hair styling device is operable to heat the styling surface to vaporise the liquid for transmission to the hair. The hair styling device preferably has an absorbent layer 40 and the styling surface is preferably air permeable. The liquid delivery arrangement may be a nozzle or atomiser for spraying liquid onto the hair styling surface, or it may be a sponge (74, fig. 5A) or wiper (54, fig.4) for distributing liquid onto the surface. Also provided is a dock (62, fig. 7) for a hair styling device. The dock has a liquid delivery arrangement 44 having a dispenser positioned to dispense a liquid towards a styling surface 38 of the hair styling device when the hair styling device is held by a housing of the dock.
