Abstract

The article relating to the present design (hereinafter referred to as "the Article") is a lid for a water bottle that closes the opening of the water bottle body for storing drinking water or the like in a refrigerator, and has a substantially rectangular annular contact piece that abuts against the opening edge of the opening of the water bottle body, and a substantially rectangular annular sliding contact piece that extends downward from the inside of the contact piece and slides against the inside of the opening edge of the opening. The contact piece of the Article has recesses that are slightly indented upward in an arc shape at the center of both short sides. The sliding contact piece of the Article also has projections that protrude downward in a substantially triangular shape from the center of both short sides, corresponding to the recesses of the contact piece. Furthermore, five slits are provided at equal intervals around the circumference of the sliding contact piece, in the center of both short sides of the sliding contact piece. These slits are cut out so that the spout, which protrudes outward from the opening edge of the cold water bottle body corresponding to one of the short sides, communicates with the inside of the cold water bottle body via the lid. The length of these slits in the vertical direction varies according to the amount of downward protrusion of the protruding part. In addition, elongated sealing pieces that bulge slightly outward in an arc shape are provided at each of the four corners of the sliding contact piece, thereby improving the sealing performance of the sliding contact piece against the inside of the opening edge of the cold water bottle body.
