Abstract

To provide a power supply input circuit that can suppress fluctuations in an inrush current caused by the influence of ambient temperature and can also shorten the rise time of a voltage supplied to a load.SOLUTION: A power supply input circuit includes a current detection resistor 9 that detects the current by the voltage generated across it due to an inrush current, and a current limiting switching element Q3 whose collector is connected to the gate of a power switching element Q2. The base voltage of the current limiting switching element Q3 changes in response to the voltage generated across the current detection resistor 9 to adjust the gate voltage of the power switching element Q2 to perform constant current operation, and a negative characteristic thermistor 17 is connected between the base and emitter of the current limiting switching element Q3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
