Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a terminal, a base station, and a communication method in a wireless communication system. [Background technology]
[0002] For NR (New Radio) (also known as "5G"), the successor system to LTE (Long Term Evolution), technologies are being considered that satisfy the requirements of a large-capacity system, high-speed data transmission speed, low latency, simultaneous connection of a large number of terminals, low cost, low power consumption, etc. (e.g., Non-Patent Document 1).
[0003] Currently, non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) are being considered. NTNs use non-terrestrial networks such as satellites to provide services to areas that cannot be covered by terrestrial 5G networks, mainly due to cost considerations (e.g., Non-Patent Documents 2 and 3). [Prior art documents] [Non-patent literature]
[0004] [Non-Patent Document 1] 3GPP TS 38.300 V16.8.0(2021-12) [Non-Patent Document 2] 3GPP TR 38.821 V16.0.0(2019-12) [Non-Patent Document 3] Konishi et al., "A Study on Downlink Spectrum Sharing in HAPS Mobile Communication Systems," Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers General Conference, B-17-1, 2020 [Non-Patent Document 4] 3GPP TS 38.214 V16.8.0(2021-12) [Non-Patent Document 5] 3GPP TS 38.212 V16.8.0(2021-12) Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] In NTN, the distance between the base station and the terminal in the sky is very large, so the propagation delay is larger than that of a terrestrial network (TN). In addition, in the case of LEO (Low Earth orbit) or HAPS (High Altitude Platform Station), the base station moves. Therefore, support for disabling HARQ (Hybrid automatic repeat request) feedback in NTN is being considered.
[0006] On the other hand, when HARQ feedback is disabled, a failure to detect a control signal may cause a problem in receiving a transport block.
[0007] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned points, and has an object to correctly receive data when hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback is disabled in a wireless communication system. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] According to the disclosed technique, there is provided a terminal having a receiving unit that receives a transport block from a base station in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process in which HARQ feedback is disabled, and a control unit that identifies the transport block as a first transmission when a certain condition related to the transport block is satisfied. Effect of the Invention
[0009] According to the disclosed technique, in a wireless communication system, data can be correctly received when hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback is disabled. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0011] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiment described below is an example, and the embodiment to which the present invention is applied is not limited to the following embodiment.
[0012] In the operation of the wireless communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention, existing technologies are used as appropriate. However, the existing technologies are, for example, existing LTE, but are not limited to existing LTE. In addition, the term "LTE" used in this specification has a broad meaning including LTE-Advanced and systems after LTE-Advanced (e.g., NR) unless otherwise specified.
[0013] In the embodiment of the present invention described below, terms such as SS (Synchronization signal), PSS (Primary SS), SSS (Secondary SS), PBCH (Physical broadcast channel), PRACH (Physical random access channel), PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel), PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel), PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel), and PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) used in existing LTE are used. This is for convenience of description, and similar signals, functions, etc. may be called by other names. In addition, the above-mentioned terms in NR correspond to NR-SS, NR-PSS, NR-SSS, NR-PBCH, NR-PRACH, NR-PDCCH, NR-PDSCH, NR-PUCCH, NR-PUSCH, etc. However, even if a signal is used in NR, it is not necessarily specified as "NR-".
[0014] Furthermore, in the embodiment of the present invention, the duplexing method may be a time division duplex (TDD) method, a frequency division duplex (FDD) method, or another method (for example, flexible duplex, etc.).
[0015] Furthermore, in the embodiment of the present invention, when radio parameters, etc. are "configured," this may mean that predetermined values are pre-configured, or that radio parameters notified from base station 10 or terminal 20 are configured.
[0016] FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an example of NTN (1). NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) uses non-terrestrial devices such as satellites to provide services to areas that cannot be covered by terrestrial 5G networks, mainly due to cost. NTN can also provide more reliable services. For example, it is expected to be applied to IoT (Inter of things), ships, buses, trains, and critical communications. NTN also has scalability through efficient multicast or broadcast.
[0017] As an example of an NTN, as shown in FIG. 1, a satellite 10A can retransmit signals transmitted from a terrestrial base station 10B to provide service to areas where no terrestrial base stations are located, such as mountainous regions.
[0018] The terrestrial 5G network may have the following configuration. The terrestrial 5G network includes one or more base stations 10 and terminals 20. The base station 10 is a communication device that provides one or more cells and performs wireless communication with the terminals 20. The physical resources of the wireless signal are defined in the time domain and the frequency domain, and the time domain may be defined by the number of OFDM symbols, and the frequency domain may be defined by the number of subcarriers or the number of resource blocks. The base station 10 transmits a synchronization signal and system information to the terminals 20. The synchronization signal is, for example, NR-PSS and NR-SSS. The system information is, for example, transmitted by NR-PBCH, and is also called broadcast information.
[0019] The base station 10 transmits control signals or data to the terminal 20 in DL (Downlink) and receives control signals or data from the terminal 20 in UL (Uplink). Both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 are capable of transmitting and receiving signals by performing beamforming. In addition, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 are capable of applying communication by MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) to DL or UL. In addition, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may communicate via a SCell (Secondary Cell) and a PCell (Primary Cell) by CA (Carrier Aggregation).
[0020] The terminal 20 is a communication device equipped with a wireless communication function, such as a smartphone, a mobile phone, a tablet, a wearable terminal, a communication module for M2M (Machine-to-Machine), etc. The terminal 20 receives control signals or data from the base station 10 via DL and transmits control signals or data to the base station 10 via UL, thereby utilizing various communication services provided by the wireless communication system.
[0021] FIG. 2 shows an example of NTN (2). The area of each cell or beam in NTN is very large compared to a terrestrial network (TN). FIG. 2 shows an example of NTN configured by retransmission by satellite. The connection between the satellite 10A and the NTN gateway 10B is called a feeder link, and the connection between the satellite 10A and the UE 20 is called a service link.
[0022] As shown in Fig. 2, the difference in delay between the near side UE 20A and the far side UE 20B is, for example, 10.3 ms in the case of GEO (Geosynchronous orbit) and 3.2 ms in the case of LEO (Low Earth orbit). Also, the beam size in NTN is, for example, 3500 km in the case of GEO and 1000 km in the case of LEO.
[0023] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing an example (3) of an NTN. As shown in FIG. 3, the NTN is realized by a satellite in space or a flying object in the air. For example, a GEO satellite may be a satellite located at an altitude of 35,786 km and having a geostationary orbit. For example, a LEO satellite may be a satellite located at an altitude of 500-2000 km and orbiting with a period of 88-127 minutes. For example, a HAPS (High Altitude Platform Station) may be a flying object that is located at an altitude of 8-50 km and performs circular flight.
[0024] As shown in Figure 3, GEO satellites, LEO satellites, and HAPS aircraft may be connected to ground stations gNB via gateways. Also, the service areas may be larger in the order of HAPS, LEO, and GEO.
[0025] For example, NTN can extend the coverage of 5G network to unserved or served areas. NTN can also improve the continuity, availability and reliability of services in ships, buses, trains or other critical communications. NTN can be notified by transmitting dedicated parameters to the terminal 20, and the dedicated parameters may be parameters related to the determination of TA (Timing Advance) based on information related to satellites or aircraft.
[0026] FIG. 4 is a diagram showing an example (4) of an NTN. FIG. 4 shows an example of an NTN network architecture assumed in the case of a transparent payload. As shown in FIG. 4, a CN (Core Network) 10D, a gNB 10C, and a gateway 10B are connected. The gateway 10B is connected to a satellite 10A via a feeder link. The satellite 10A is connected to a terminal 20A or a VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) 20B via a service link. An NR Uu is established between the gNB 10C and the terminal 20A or the VSAT 20B.
[0027] NTN's network architecture may be assumed to be FDD or TDD. The terrestrial cells may be fixed or mobile. The terminal 20 may have GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) capability. For example, a power class 3 handheld device may be assumed in FR1. A VSAT device may be assumed at least in FR2.
[0028] NTN's network architecture may also assume regenerative payloads. For example, gNB functionality may be mounted on a satellite or air vehicle. Alternatively, a gNB-DU may be mounted on a satellite or air vehicle, and a gNB-CU may be deployed as a ground station.
[0029] In NTN, it is necessary to consider long propagation delays, LEO or HAPS movement, and communication via GEO, LEO or HAPS. Due to these characteristics of NTN, enhancements to HARQ operation are being considered. For example, HARQ feedback may be disabled. When HARQ feedback is disabled, two consecutive DL transport blocks can be transmitted in one HARQ process without waiting for feedback. Hereinafter, "transport block" is also referred to as "TB".
[0030] FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an example (1) of HARQ feedback. An example of the case where HARQ feedback is disabled will be described with reference to FIG. 5. As shown in FIG. 5, after receiving the PDCCH and PDSCH, the terminal 20 receives the PDCCH and PDSCH without transmitting HARQ feedback. The time from the completion of reception of the PDSCH to the start of reception of the PDCCH is, for example, the processing time T proc,1In FIG. 5, a transport block different from the transport block transmitted in the first PDSCH is transmitted in the second PDSCH. An example is shown in which repeated transmission is applied to the second PDSCH and the third PDSCH corresponds to the retransmission of the second PDSCH without toggling the NDI (New data indicator).
[0031] Fig. 6 is a diagram showing an example (2) of HARQ feedback. A method of configuring a HARQ-ACK codebook type 2 when HARQ feedback is disabled will be described with reference to Fig. 6. As shown in Fig. 6, HARQ-ACK bits corresponding to only PDSCHs for which HARQ feedback is enabled are generated, and when HARQ feedback is disabled, corresponding HARQ-ACK bits are not generated. Also, DAI (Downlink assignment indicator) is counted based only on DCI transmitted on PDCCHs corresponding to PDSCHs for which HARQ feedback is enabled.
[0032] Here, if HARQ feedback disablement is set in a certain HARQ process X, when PDCCH detection fails, reception of two different transport blocks may be erroneously recognized as a retransmission (for example, a blind retransmission).
[0033] Fig. 7 is a diagram showing an example in which HARQ feedback is disabled. As shown in Fig. 7, it is assumed that terminal 20 receives TB#1 and NDI=0. Next, it is assumed that terminal 20 fails to detect a PDCCH that schedules TB#2 with NDI=1. Next, when terminal 20 receives TB#3, it determines that TB#3 has not been toggled from TB#1 because NDI=0. Therefore, terminal 20 may erroneously recognize TB#3 as a retransmission of the same transport block.
[0034] Thus, when terminal 20 receives a transport block in a certain HARQ process X in which HARQ feedback is disabled, terminal 20 may assume that the transport block is a new transmission if a predetermined condition is satisfied.
[0035] Although the following description is given as an operation related to downlink data reception (PDSCH reception), the embodiment of the present invention may also be applied to an operation of uplink data transmission (PUSCH transmission). Note that NDI being toggled may mean that NDI can take on either a value of 0 or 1, and that the values of NDI in two PDCCHs are different. When the values of NDI in two PDCCHs are the same, it may be expressed as not toggled (not toggled, untoggled).
[0036] 8 is a flowchart for explaining an example of receiving a TB in an embodiment of the present invention. In step S101, terminal 20 receives a transport block in a certain HARQ process X in which HARQ feedback is set to be disabled. In the following step S102, terminal 20 determines whether a predetermined condition is satisfied. If the predetermined condition is satisfied (YES in S102), the process proceeds to step S103, and if the predetermined condition is not satisfied (NO in S102), the flow ends. In step S103, terminal 20 may assume that the transport block is a new transmission.
[0037] If the predetermined condition is not satisfied in step S102, it may be assumed that the transport block is not a new transmission, or that the transport block is a retransmission.
[0038] For example, the predetermined condition in step S102 may be any of the conditions shown in 1)-9) below.
[0039] 1) The transport block has a transport block size (TBS) different from the TBS at the time of receiving the immediately preceding transport block in HARQ process X.
[0040] 2) The transport block has a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) index that is different from the MCS index used when the previous transport block was received in HARQ process X.
[0041] 3) When the MCS index of the transport block is not a reserved index, for example, the reserved index may be MCS index 29-31 of MCS index table 1, 28-31 of MCS index table 2, or 29-31 of MCS index table 3 in Non-Patent Document 4.
[0042] 4) When the transport block has a different TDRA (Time Domain Resource Allocation) from the TDRA used when the immediately preceding transport block was received in HARQ process X. However, the difference in slots does not need to be taken into consideration, and the condition may be related to the symbol index used.
[0043] 5) The transport block has a different FDRA (Frequency Domain Resource Allocation) from the FDRA used when the previous transport block was received in HARQ process X.
[0044] 6) When a PDCCH or PDSCH related to a transport block is received after a predetermined time has elapsed since the reception timing of the PDCCH or PDSCH related to the previous transport block in HARQ process X.
[0045] 7) In the control information related to the transport block, the PUCCH resource indicator and / or the PDSCH-to-HARQ_feedback timing indicator field and / or the TPC command for scheduled PUCCH and / or the DAI field (see Non-Patent Document 5) indicate a predetermined indication. For example, a value used to identify a transport block (e.g., a transport block index, TB index) may be notified in the field. If a value used to identify a transport block when receiving a transport block immediately before in HARQ process X is different from a value used to identify a transport block when receiving the transport block, the terminal 20 may assume that the transport block is a newly transmitted one. The control information related to the transport block may be control information for scheduling the transport block.
[0046] 8) When the RV (Redundancy version) related to the transport block is a predetermined value, for example, when RV=0.
[0047] 9) A case where the RV at the time of receiving the transport block does not have a predetermined relationship with the RV at the time of receiving the immediately preceding transport block in HARQ process X. For example, a case where the RV at the time of receiving the transport block does not satisfy the order of RV=0, RV=2, RV=3, RV=1. Also, for example, a case where the RV at the time of receiving the transport block does not satisfy the order of RV=0, RV=3, RV=0, RV=3.
[0048] It may be possible to set whether or not to apply the operation shown in Fig. 8 described above. It may be possible to set which of the above-mentioned predetermined conditions 1)-9) to use. It may be possible to use a combination of two or more of the above-mentioned predetermined conditions 1)-9).
[0049] A condition that the NDI at the time of receiving the current transport block in HARQ process X is not toggled from the NDI at the time of receiving the immediately preceding transport block in HARQ process X may be further added to the above-mentioned predetermined conditions 1) to 9).
[0050] According to the above embodiment, even if the HARQ feedback is disabled in the NTN environment, the terminal 20 can avoid erroneous recognition of the initial transmission and retransmission of the transport block. Also, even if the HARQ feedback is disabled in the NTN environment, the terminal 20 can distinguish the initial transmission and retransmission of the transport block. Also, it is possible to minimize the decrease in network flexibility.
[0051] That is, in a wireless communication system, data can be received correctly when hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback is disabled.
[0052] (Device configuration) Next, a functional configuration example of the base station 10 and the terminal 20 that execute the processes and operations described above will be described. The base station 10 and the terminal 20 include functions for implementing the above-mentioned embodiments. However, the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may each include only a part of the functions in the embodiments.
[0053] <Base station 10> Fig. 9 is a diagram showing an example of a functional configuration of base station 10 in the embodiment of the present invention. The functional divisions and names of the functional units may be any names as long as they can execute the operations related to the embodiment of the present invention.
[0054] The transmitting unit 110 includes a function of generating a signal to be transmitted to the terminal 20 side and transmitting the signal wirelessly. The transmitting unit 110 also transmits an inter-network node message to another network node. The receiving unit 120 includes a function of receiving various signals transmitted from the terminal 20 and acquiring, for example, information of a higher layer from the received signal. The transmitting unit 110 also has a function of transmitting NR-PSS, NR-SSS, NR-PBCH, DL / UL control signals, etc. to the terminal 20. The receiving unit 120 also receives an inter-network node message from another network node.
[0055] The setting unit 130 stores preset setting information and various setting information to be transmitted to the terminal 20. The content of the setting information is, for example, information related to communication in the NTN.
[0056] The control unit 140 performs control related to communication in the NTN as described in the embodiment. The control unit 140 also controls communication with the terminal 20 based on a UE capability report related to radio parameters received from the terminal 20. A functional unit related to signal transmission in the control unit 140 may be included in the transmitting unit 110, and a functional unit related to signal reception in the control unit 140 may be included in the receiving unit 120.
[0057] <Terminal 20> Fig. 10 is a diagram showing an example of a functional configuration of terminal 20 in the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Fig. 10, terminal 20 has transmitting unit 210, receiving unit 220, setting unit 230, and control unit 240. The functional configuration shown in Fig. 10 is merely an example. [0058] The transmitter 210 creates a transmission signal from the transmission data and transmits the transmission signal wirelessly. The receiver 220 wirelessly receives various signals and acquires a higher layer signal from the received physical layer signal. The receiver 220 also has a function of receiving NR-PSS, NR-SSS, NR-PBCH, DL / UL / SL control signals, etc. transmitted from the base station 10. For example, the transmitter 210 transmits a PSCCH (Physical Sidelink Control Channel), a PSSCH (Physical Sidelink Shared Channel), a PSDCH (Physical Sidelink Discovery Channel), a PSBCH (Physical Sidelink Broadcast Channel), etc. to another terminal 20 as D2D communication, and the receiver 120 receives the PSCCH, the PSSCH, the PSDCH, or the PSBCH, etc. from the other terminal 20.
[0059] The setting unit 230 stores various setting information received from the base station 10 by the receiving unit 220. The setting unit 230 also stores setting information that is set in advance. The content of the setting information is, for example, information related to communication in the NTN.
[0060] The control unit 240 controls communication in the NTN as described in the embodiment. A functional unit related to signal transmission in the control unit 240 may be included in the transmitting unit 210, and a functional unit related to signal reception in the control unit 240 may be included in the receiving unit 220.
[0061] (Hardware configuration) The block diagrams (FIGS. 9 and 10) used to explain the above embodiments show functional blocks. These functional blocks (components) are realized by any combination of at least one of hardware and software. Furthermore, the method of realizing each functional block is not particularly limited. That is, each functional block may be realized using one device that is physically or logically coupled, or may be realized using two or more devices that are physically or logically separated and directly or indirectly connected (e.g., using wires, wirelessly, etc.). The functional blocks may be realized by combining the one device or the multiple devices with software.
[0062] Functions include, but are not limited to, judgment, determination, judgment, calculation, computation, processing, derivation, investigation, search, confirmation, reception, transmission, output, access, resolution, selection, selection, establishment, comparison, assumption, expectation, consideration, broadcasting, notifying, communicating, forwarding, configuring, reconfiguring, allocation, mapping, assignment, etc. For example, a functional block (component) that performs the function of transmission is called a transmitting unit or a transmitter. In either case, as described above, there is no particular limitation on the method of realization.
[0063] For example, the base station 10, the terminal 20, etc. in an embodiment of the present disclosure may function as a computer that performs processing of the wireless communication method of the present disclosure. [0084] (Summary of the embodiment) As described above, according to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a terminal having a receiving unit that receives a transport block from a base station in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process in which HARQ feedback is disabled, and a control unit that identifies the transport block as a first transmission when a certain condition related to the transport block is satisfied.
[0085] With the above configuration, the terminal 20 can avoid erroneous recognition of the initial transmission and retransmission of a transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment. Furthermore, the terminal 20 can distinguish the initial transmission and retransmission of a transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment. Furthermore, it is possible to minimize the decrease in network flexibility. That is, in a wireless communication system, data can be correctly received when HARQ (Hybrid automatic repeat request) feedback is disabled.
[0086] The control unit may identify the transport block as a first transmission in the HARQ process when the transport block size of the transport block received immediately before the transport block is different from the transport block size of the transport block. With this configuration, the terminal 20 can avoid erroneous recognition of the first transmission and retransmission of the transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment. Furthermore, the terminal 20 can identify the first transmission and retransmission of the transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment. Furthermore, it is possible to minimize the decrease in network flexibility.
[0087] The control unit may identify the transport block as a first transmission when the MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) index of the transport block is not a reserved MCS index. With this configuration, the terminal 20 can avoid erroneous recognition of a first transmission and a retransmission of the transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment. Furthermore, the terminal 20 can identify a first transmission and a retransmission of the transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment. Furthermore, it is possible to minimize a decrease in network flexibility.
[0088] The control unit may identify the transport block as a first transmission when a value for identifying the transport block notified by the control information related to the transport block is different from a value for identifying the transport block received immediately before the transport block. Furthermore, it is possible to minimize a decrease in network flexibility.
[0089] Furthermore, according to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a base station having a receiving unit that receives a transport block from a terminal in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process in which HARQ feedback is disabled, and a control unit that identifies the transport block as a first transmission when a certain condition related to the transport block is satisfied.
[0090] With the above configuration, the terminal 20 can avoid erroneous recognition of the initial transmission and retransmission of a transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment.
[0091] Also, according to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a communication method in which a terminal executes a reception procedure for receiving a transport block from a base station in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process in which HARQ feedback is disabled, and a control procedure for identifying the transport block as a first transmission if a certain condition related to the transport block is satisfied.
[0092] With the above configuration, the terminal 20 can avoid erroneous recognition of the initial transmission and retransmission of a transport block even when HARQ feedback is disabled in an NTN environment.

[0096] The steps, sequences, flow charts, etc. of each aspect / embodiment described herein may be reordered unless inconsistent. For example, the methods described in this disclosure present elements of various steps using an example order, and are not limited to the particular order presented.
[0097] In this specification, a specific operation performed by the base station 10 may be performed by its upper node in some cases. In a network consisting of one or more network nodes having the base station 10, it is clear that various operations performed for communication with the terminal 20 may be performed by at least one of the base station 10 and other network nodes other than the base station 10 (e.g., MME or S-GW, etc., but are not limited to these). Although the above example illustrates a case in which there is one other network node other than the base station 10, the other network node may be a combination of multiple other network nodes (e.g., MME and S-GW).
[0098] The information or signals described in the present disclosure may be output from a higher layer (or a lower layer) to a lower layer (or a higher layer), or may be input / output via multiple network nodes.
[0099] The input and output information may be stored in a specific location (e.g., memory) or may be managed using a management table. The input and output information may be overwritten, updated, or added to. The output information may be deleted. The input information may be transmitted to another device.
[0100] In the present disclosure, the determination may be made based on a value represented by one bit (0 or 1), a Boolean value (true or false), or a numerical comparison (e.g., comparison with a predetermined value).
[0101] Software shall be construed broadly to mean instructions, instruction sets, code, code segments, program code, programs, subprograms, software modules, applications, software applications, software packages, routines, subroutines, objects, executable files, threads of execution, procedures, functions, etc., whether referred to as software, firmware, middleware, microcode, hardware description language, or otherwise.
[0102] Additionally, software, instructions, information, etc. may be transmitted or received over a transmission medium. For example, if the software is transmitted from a website, server, or other remote source using wired and / or wireless technologies (such as coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, twisted pair, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)), and / or wireless technologies (such as infrared, microwave, etc.), then these wired and / or wireless technologies are included within the definition of transmission media.
[0103] The information, signals, etc. described in this disclosure may be represented using any of a variety of different technologies. For example, the data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits, symbols, chips, etc. that may be referred to throughout the above description may be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or magnetic particles, optical fields or photons, or any combination thereof.
[0104] In addition, the terms described in this disclosure and the terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, at least one of a channel and a symbol may be a signal (signaling). Also, a signal may be a message. Also, a component carrier (CC) may be called a carrier frequency, a cell, a frequency carrier, etc.
[0105] As used in this disclosure, the terms "system" and "network" are used interchangeably.
[0106] In addition, the information, parameters, etc. described in the present disclosure may be represented using absolute values, may be represented using relative values from a predetermined value, or may be represented using other corresponding information. For example, a radio resource may be indicated by an index.
[0107] The names used for the above-mentioned parameters are not limiting in any way. Moreover, the formulas using these parameters may differ from those explicitly disclosed in this disclosure. The various channels (e.g., PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements may be identified by any suitable names, and therefore the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not limiting in any way.
[0108] In the present disclosure, terms such as "base station (BS)", "wireless base station", "base station device", "fixed station", "NodeB", "eNodeB (eNB)", "gNodeB (gNB)", "access point", "transmission point", "reception point", "transmission / reception point", "cell", "sector", "cell group", "carrier", "component carrier", etc. may be used interchangeably. A base station may also be referred to by terms such as a macro cell, a small cell, a femto cell, a pico cell, etc.
[0109] A base station can accommodate one or more (e.g., three) cells. When a base station accommodates multiple cells, the entire coverage area of the base station can be partitioned into multiple smaller areas, and each smaller area can also be provided with communication services by a base station subsystem (e.g., a small indoor base station (RRH: Remote Radio Head)). The term "cell" or "sector" refers to a part or the entire coverage area of a base station and / or a base station subsystem that provides communication services in this coverage.
[0110] In this disclosure, the terms "Mobile Station (MS)", "user terminal", "User Equipment (UE)", "terminal", etc. may be used interchangeably.
[0111] A mobile station may also be referred to by those skilled in the art as a subscriber station, mobile unit, subscriber unit, wireless unit, remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, wireless communication device, remote device, mobile subscriber station, access terminal, mobile terminal, wireless terminal, remote terminal, handset, user agent, mobile client, client, or some other suitable terminology.
[0112] At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be called a transmitting device, a receiving device, a communication device, etc. At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device mounted on a moving body, the moving body itself, etc. The moving body may be a vehicle (e.g., a car, an airplane, etc.), an unmanned moving body (e.g., a drone, an autonomous vehicle, etc.), or a robot (manned or unmanned). At least one of the base station and the mobile station may include a device that does not necessarily move during communication operation. For example, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may be an IoT (Internet of Things) device such as a sensor.
[0113] Furthermore, the base station in the present disclosure may be read as a user terminal. For example, each aspect / embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a user terminal is replaced with communication between a plurality of terminals 20 (which may be called, for example, D2D (Device-to-Device) or V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything)). In this case, the terminal 20 may be configured to have the functions of the base station 10 described above. Furthermore, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be read as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "side"). For example, an uplink channel, a downlink channel, etc. may be read as a side channel.
[0114] Similarly, a user terminal in the present disclosure may be read as a base station. In this case, the base station may be configured to have the functions of the above-mentioned user terminal.
[0115] As used in this disclosure, the terms "determining" and "determining" may encompass a wide variety of actions. "Determining" and "determining" may include, for example, judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, search, inquiry (e.g., searching in a table, database, or other data structure), ascertaining, and the like. "Determining" and "determining" may also include receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), input, output, accessing (e.g., accessing data in a memory), and the like. In addition, "judgment" and "decision" can include considering resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc., to be a "judgment" or "decision." In other words, "judgment" and "decision" can include considering some action to be a "judgment" or "decision." In addition, "judgment" can be interpreted as "assuming," "expecting," "considering," etc.
[0116] The terms "connected," "coupled," or any variation thereof, refer to any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include the presence of one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are "connected" or "coupled" to each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, "connected" may be read as "access." As used in this disclosure, two elements may be considered to be "connected" or "coupled" to each other using at least one of one or more wires, cables, and printed electrical connections, as well as electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency range, microwave range, and optical (both visible and invisible) range, as some non-limiting and non-exhaustive examples.
[0117] The reference signal may be abbreviated as RS (Reference Signal) and may be called a pilot depending on the applicable standard.
[0118] As used in this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based only on," unless expressly stated otherwise. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based only on" and "based at least on."
[0119] Any reference to an element using a designation such as "first," "second," etc., used in this disclosure does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient method of distinguishing between two or more elements. Thus, a reference to a first and a second element does not imply that only two elements may be employed or that the first element must precede the second element in some way.
[0120] The "means" in the configuration of each of the above devices may be replaced with "part," "circuit," "device," etc.
[0121] When the terms "include," "including," and variations thereof are used in this disclosure, these terms are intended to be inclusive, similar to the term "comprising." Further, when used in this disclosure, the term "or" is not intended to be an exclusive or.
[0122] A radio frame may be composed of one or more frames in the time domain. Each of the one or more frames in the time domain may be called a subframe. A subframe may further be composed of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.
[0123] The numerology may be communication parameters that apply to the transmission and / or reception of a signal or channel, such as, for example, at least one of a subcarrier spacing (SCS), a bandwidth, a symbol length, a cyclic prefix length, a transmission time interval (TTI), a number of symbols per TTI, a radio frame structure, a particular filtering operation that the transceiver performs in the frequency domain, a particular windowing operation that the transceiver performs in the time domain, etc.
[0124] A slot may be composed of one or more symbols (such as an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, a Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbol, etc.) in the time domain. A slot may be a time unit based on numerology.
[0125] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may be composed of one or multiple symbols in the time domain. A minislot may also be called a subslot. A minislot may be composed of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type B.
[0126] A radio frame, a subframe, a slot, a minislot, and a symbol each represent a time unit for transmitting a signal. The radio frame, the subframe, the slot, the minislot, and the symbol may each be referred to by a different name.
[0127] For example, one subframe may be called a transmission time interval (TTI), multiple consecutive subframes may be called a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be called a TTI. That is, at least one of the subframe and the TTI may be a subframe (1 ms) in the existing LTE, a period shorter than 1 ms (for example, 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit expressing the TTI may be called a slot, a minislot, or the like, instead of a subframe.
[0128] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the minimum time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, a base station performs scheduling to allocate wireless resources (such as frequency bandwidth and transmission power that can be used by each terminal 20) to each terminal 20 in TTI units. Note that the definition of TTI is not limited to this.
[0129] The TTI may be a transmission time unit for a channel-encoded data packet (transport block), a code block, a code word, etc., or may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the time interval (e.g., the number of symbols) in which a transport block, a code block, a code word, etc. are actually mapped may be shorter than the TTI.
[0130] In addition, when one slot or one minislot is called TTI, one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more minislots) may be the minimum time unit of scheduling. Also, the number of slots (minislots) constituting the minimum time unit of scheduling may be controlled.
[0131] A TTI having a time length of 1 ms may be called a normal TTI (TTI in LTE Rel. 8-12), a normal TTI, a long TTI, a normal subframe, a normal subframe, a long subframe, a slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a normal TTI may be called a shortened TTI, a short TTI, a partial or fractional TTI, a shortened subframe, a short subframe, a minislot, a subslot, a slot, etc.
[0132] In addition, a long TTI (e.g., a normal TTI, a subframe, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a time length exceeding 1 ms, and a short TTI (e.g., a shortened TTI, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a TTI length shorter than the TTI length of a long TTI and equal to or greater than 1 ms.
[0133] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and the frequency domain, and may include one or more consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be the same regardless of the numerology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be determined based on the numerology.
[0134] In addition, the time domain of the RB may include one or more symbols and may be one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI in length. Each of one TTI, one subframe, etc. may be composed of one or more resource blocks.
[0135] Note that one or more RBs may be called a physical resource block (PRB), a sub-carrier group (SCG), a resource element group (REG), a PRB pair, an RB pair, or the like.
[0136] Furthermore, a resource block may be composed of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource region of one subcarrier and one symbol.
[0137] A Bandwidth Part (BWP), which may also be referred to as a fractional bandwidth, may represent a subset of contiguous common resource blocks (RBs) for a numerology on a carrier, where the common RBs may be identified by an index of the RBs relative to a common reference point of the carrier. PRBs may be defined in a BWP and numbered within the BWP.
[0138] The BWP may include a BWP for UL (UL BWP) and a BWP for DL (DL BWP). One or more BWPs may be configured for a UE within one carrier.
[0139] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE may not expect to transmit or receive a given signal / channel outside the active BWP. Note that the terms "cell", "carrier", etc. in this disclosure may be replaced with "BWP".
[0140] The above-mentioned structures of radio frames, subframes, slots, minislots, symbols, etc. are merely examples. For example, the number of subframes included in a radio frame, the number of slots per subframe or radio frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, the number of symbols in a TTI, the symbol length, the cyclic prefix (CP) length, etc. may be changed in various ways.
[0141] In this disclosure, where articles have been added due to translation, such as a, an, and the in English, the disclosure may include that the nouns following these articles are in the plural form.
[0142] In the present disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "coupled" may also be interpreted in the same way as "different."
[0143] Each aspect / embodiment described in this disclosure may be used alone, in combination, or switched according to execution. In addition, notification of specific information (e.g., notification that "X is the case") is not limited to being done explicitly, but may be done implicitly (e.g., not notifying the specific information).

Claims
1. A receiver that receives a transport block from a base station in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process in which HARQ feedback is disabled; A terminal having a control unit that identifies the transport block as a first transmission when a certain condition related to the transport block is satisfied.
2. The terminal according to claim 1 , wherein the control unit identifies the transport block as a first transmission when a transport block size of a transport block received immediately before the transport block in the HARQ process is different from a transport block size of the transport block.
3. The terminal according to claim 1 , wherein the control unit identifies the transport block as a first transmission when an MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) index of the transport block is not a reserved MCS index.
4. 2. The terminal according to claim 1, wherein the control unit identifies the transport block as being transmitted for the first time when a value for identifying the transport block notified by control information related to the transport block is different from a value for identifying the transport block received immediately before the transport block.
5. A receiving unit that receives a transport block from a terminal in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process in which HARQ feedback is disabled; and a control unit that identifies the transport block as a first transmission when a certain condition related to the transport block is satisfied.
6. A receiving procedure for receiving a transport block from a base station in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process in which HARQ feedback is disabled; and a control procedure for identifying the transport block as a first transmission when a certain condition related to the transport block is satisfied, by a terminal.
