Abstract
To provide a heat-conductive composite material which is excellent in mechanical strength.SOLUTION: A composite material contains a resin and heat-conductive particles. The resin contains a polymer having a nitrile group. The heat-conductive particles contain particles composed of boron nitride (BN). The nitrile group has an affinity to the BN, and it is considered that mechanical strength of the composite material is improved by improvement of adhesion between the polymer and the BN particles. Preferably, the polymer has a ratio (n / T) of the number (n) of constitutional units having a nitrile group (-CN) to the total number (T) of the constitutional units of 0.02 to 0.12. Furthermore, preferably, the resin has granular island-like parts, and the heat-conductive particles are unevenly distributed between the island-like parts. Thereby, a composite material having high heat-conductivity is obtained while suppressing the amount of heat-conductive particles.SELECTED DRAWING: None
