Abstract

To provide an endoscope connection mechanism that does not damage the light guide member. [Solution] The connector comprises a connector socket having a hole through which a connector tube is inserted and removed, and two light shutters positioned opposite each other across the light path in the hole, wherein the tube contains a light guide member protruding from its tip, the first part of the two light shutters has a fixed end, a first end and a second end, the second part has a third end and a fourth end, and the third part has a free end, a sixth end, the second part of the first part is positioned closest to the light path, the third part of the second part is positioned closest to the light path, the outer diameter of the light guide member is smaller than the distance between the second ends, when the tube is not inserted into the hole, the third part is located in a part of the light path and overlaps with each other, and when the tube is inserted into the hole, the third part is located outside the light path.
