AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
During the manufacturing process of existing motors, radial alignment of the rotating shaft is difficult to achieve due to the manufacturing deviation of components, resulting in a decrease in motor performance and reliability, and prone to early component failures.
Method used
An expandable bearing hole alignment tool is used, which is inserted between motor components, radial alignment of the components is achieved through expandable members, and the assembly position is secured by locking mechanisms, ensuring submicron alignment of the rotation axis.
Benefits of technology
Submicron alignment of the motor rotation shaft is achieved, extending the motor's service life and reducing component wear and noise problems.

Abstract
The present disclosure is generally directed to techniques for radial alignment of motor components relative to one another to achieve a motor having a rotor bore with sub-micron end-to-end variations. In one embodiment, a rotor bore alignment tool is disclosed herein that can be inserted between openings / through-holes defined by each of the motor components, more specifically, the housing sections and the stator assembly. The rotor bore alignment tool includes an expandable member that can be selectively transitioned to an extended position to radially align each of the motor components prior to fixedly coupling them into a so-called “stack” to form the motor. When the motor components are coupled together, the resulting motor includes a rotor shaft that extends end-to-end with sub-micron variations, e.g., preferably less than 10 microns, more preferably 5 microns or less.
