AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing pavement structures on auto racing tracks experience overflow of rainwater due to excessive drainage capacity, leading to safety concerns and uneven road conditions during rainy weather.
Method used
A pavement structure with a water-impermeable layer and a drainage layer, featuring a base drainage layer with increasing thickness towards the downstream side and a surface drainage layer with higher permeability, combined with a drainage ditch and chamfered portion, to enhance drainage capacity and prevent overflow.
Benefits of technology
The structure effectively suppresses rainwater overflow, maintains uniform road conditions, and improves safety by ensuring efficient drainage, even in heavy rainfall, while reducing construction costs.

Abstract
To provide a pavement structure capable of suppressing overflow of rain water from a road surface.SOLUTION: A pavement structure 1 of a road surface inclined in a transverse direction includes an impermeable layer 10 and a drainage layer 20 laid on the impermeable layer 10. A transverse slope on an upper surface of the impermeable layer 10 is larger than a transverse slope of a surface of the drainage layer 20. The drainage layer 20 includes a base layer drainage layer 21 laid on the impermeable layer 10, and a surface layer drainage layer 22 laid on the base layer drainage layer 21 and having a water permeability coefficient larger than that of the base layer drainage layer 21. The base layer drainage layer 21 increases in thickness as it moves downward of the transverse slope.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
