Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0021] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on the attached exemplary drawings.

[0022] Figs. 4 to 9 illustrate a stringed instrument according to the present invention, and exemplify an application to a general acoustic guitar provided with six strings 30.

[0023] According to this, the stringed instrument includes a main body 10 having a space portion formed therein, a neck 20 provided on one side of the main body 10 so as to extend forward and having a winding 21 at the front end, and a plurality of strings 30 having both ends fixed to the winding 21 and the main body 10, which is the same as the conventional one.

[0024] At this time, the main body 10 is formed in a cylindrical shape having an upper plate 11, a sound hole 12 is formed in the upper plate 11, and a bridge 13 is provided on the upper plate 11.

[0025] Both ends of the string 30 are fixed to the winding 21 and the bridge 13.

[0026] And according to the present invention, an auxiliary string 40 is provided inside the main body 10.

[0027] To explain this in detail, a through hole 14 is formed on one side of the main body 10, and an auxiliary through hole 15 is formed on the other side of the main body 10.

[0028] The through hole 14 is formed on the front peripheral surface of the main body 10, and the auxiliary through hole 15 is formed on the rear peripheral surface of the main body 10.

[0029] Furthermore, a support member 50 coupled to the through hole 14 and an auxiliary spool 61 provided on the other side of the main body 10 are further provided.

[0030] As shown in FIGS. 5 and 7, the support member 50 includes a support plate 51 formed with six fixing holes 51a penetrating the front and rear surfaces, and a pair of extension plates 52 extending rearward on both sides of the rear surface of the support plate 51.

[0031] The auxiliary spool 61 is provided on an auxiliary support member 62 coupled to the auxiliary through hole 15.

[0032] The auxiliary support member 62 includes an auxiliary support plate 62a coupled to the auxiliary through hole 15 and an auxiliary extension plate 62b extending forward from the auxiliary support plate 62a.

[0033] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 8, the auxiliary spool 61 is composed of six and fixed to the auxiliary extension plate 62b, and an operation lever 61a for operating the auxiliary spool 61 extends outside the main body 10.

[0034] The auxiliary string 40 uses a type provided with a ball end 41 at the front end of the end portion, is composed of six corresponding to the string 30, the front end portion is coupled to the support member 50 such that the ball end 41 is locked in the fixing hole 51a of the support member 50, and the rear end portion is coupled to the auxiliary spool 61.

[0035] Therefore, after fixing the rear end portion of the auxiliary string 40 in front of the support member 50 to be coupled to the auxiliary spool 61 through the fixing hole 51a, if the operation lever 61a of the auxiliary spool 61 is operated so that the auxiliary string 40 is wound around the auxiliary spool 61, the ball end 41 of the auxiliary string 40 is locked and fixed in the fixing hole 51a.

[0036] Then, when the auxiliary spool 61 is further tightened, while the auxiliary strings 40 are pulled taut, the sounds of the respective auxiliary strings 40 are adjusted.

[0037] At this time, it is preferable that the respective auxiliary strings 40 are tuned to C, E, G, B, D, and F# respectively.

[0038] And, the main body 10 is provided with a silencing device 70 that selectively contacts the auxiliary strings 40 to silence the auxiliary strings 40.

[0039] As shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, the silencing device 70 includes a silencing member 71 that selectively contacts the auxiliary strings 40 to silence the auxiliary strings 40, a rotating bar 72 that extends rearward from the silencing member 71 and is rotatably coupled in the vertical direction to a bracket 73 provided on the auxiliary extension plate 62b, an elastic member 74 that is coupled to the rotating bar 72 and presses the silencing member 71 to be in close contact with the auxiliary strings 40, an extension cable 75 that is coupled to the rotating bar 72, and a treadle 76 that is coupled to the end of the extension cable 75 and is rotatably coupled in the vertical direction to a support base 77.

[0040] The extension cable 75 is composed of an internal cable 75a whose both ends are coupled to the rotating bar 72 and the treadle 76, and a housing 75b configured to surround the outside of the internal cable 75a, and the internal cable 75a is configured to be slidable inside the housing 75b.

[0041] Since such an extension cable 75 is commonly used for a bicycle brake or the like, further detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0042] Therefore, in normal times, the elastic member 74 causes the silencing member 71 to be in close contact with the auxiliary strings 40 so that the auxiliary strings 40 do not vibrate. When the user steps on the treadle 76 downward, the internal cable 75a is pulled and the rotating bar 72 is rotated downward. Accordingly, the silencing member 71 is separated from the auxiliary strings 40 so that the auxiliary strings 40 can vibrate.

[0043] Since the stringed instrument configured as described above is provided with the auxiliary string 40 inside the main body 10, when the user plays the string 30, the auxiliary string 40 vibrates due to the vibration of the string 30 and amplifies the sound generated by the string 30.

[0044] Therefore, there is an advantage that the sound generated when playing the stringed instrument becomes richer.

[0045] And a through hole 14 is formed on one side of the main body 10, and a support member 50 coupled to the through hole 14 and an auxiliary string winder 61 provided on the other side of the main body 10 are further provided. Since both ends of the auxiliary string 40 are fixed to the support member 50 and the auxiliary string winder 61, there is an advantage that the sound of each auxiliary string 40 can be adjusted by operating the auxiliary string winder 61.

[0046] In particular, an auxiliary through hole 15 is formed on the other side of the main body 10, an auxiliary support member 62 is coupled to the auxiliary through hole 15, and since the auxiliary string winder 61 is provided on the auxiliary support member 62, there is an advantage that the installation of the auxiliary string winder 61 is easy.

[0047] Further, the main body 10 is further provided with a silencing device 70 that selectively contacts the auxiliary string 40 to silence the auxiliary string 40. By operating the silencing device 70 so that the silencing member 71 is in close contact with or separated from the auxiliary string 40, it is possible to adjust whether or not sound is generated by the auxiliary string 40.

[0048] Therefore, there is an advantage that the user can freely adjust the tone color of the stringed instrument while playing the stringed instrument.

[0049] In the case of this embodiment, although it was illustrated that the auxiliary string 40 of the type provided with the ball end 41 at one end is used, when using the auxiliary string 40 without the ball end 41, as shown in FIG. 10, the support member 50 is provided with a ring 53, and the front end portion of the auxiliary string 40 is configured to be locked and fixed to the ring 53.

[0050] Also, although the auxiliary string reel 61 is exemplified as being provided in the auxiliary member 62, the auxiliary string reel 61 can be directly provided in the main body 10 as shown in FIG. 11.

[0051] And, although the silencing device 70 is exemplified as being configured to be operable by a user stepping on it with a foot, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, a rotation bar 72 connected to the silencing member 71 extends outside the main body 10, and the user can rotate the rotation bar 72 by hand so that the silencing member 71 can be adjusted to be in close contact with or separated from the auxiliary string 40.

[0052] Alternatively, the silencing device 70 can also utilize an electric operating device that operates by electricity.

[0053] And, the silencing device 70 can be configured so that the silencing member 71 can be fixed in a state separated from the auxiliary string 40.

[0054] And, the positions of the through hole 14 and the auxiliary through hole 15 can be freely changed.

[0055] Also, the extension cable 75 can be detachably coupled to the rotation bar 72 or the footrest 76, and the middle portion of the extension cable 75 can be configured to be separable as needed.

[0056] Also, at a portion where the auxiliary string 40 may come into contact with each part of the stringed instrument, a fret or a separate support bar can be installed, and by the fret or the support bar supporting each part of the auxiliary string 40, the auxiliary string 40 is prevented from coming into contact with each part of the stringed instrument, and the range in which the auxiliary string 40 vibrates, that is, the length can be shortened to improve the tone quality.

[0057] FIGS. 13 to 15 illustrate other embodiments according to the present invention. A through hole 14 is formed on one side of the main body 10, and a support frame 90 to which the auxiliary string 40 is fixed is provided in the through hole 14.

[0058] The support frame 90 is composed of a first support plate 91 detachably coupled to the through hole 14, a second support plate 92 provided so as to be separated from the first support plate 91, a support bar 93 connecting the first and second support plates 91, 92, and an auxiliary string winder 94 provided on the second support plate 92.

[0059] The first support plate 91 is detachably coupled to the through hole 14 using fixing screws (not shown).

[0060] A fixing hole 91a for fixing the ball end 41 of the auxiliary string 40 is formed in the first support plate 91.

[0061] Therefore, with the support frame 90 separated, both ends of the auxiliary string 40 are respectively coupled to the fixing hole 91a of the support frame 90 and the auxiliary string winder 94. After adjusting the auxiliary string winder 94 to tune each auxiliary string 40, the support frame 90 is inserted into the interior of the main body 10 through the through hole 14 and fixed, thereby completing the installation of the auxiliary string 40.

[0062] In the stringed instrument configured as described above, since the auxiliary string 40 is coupled to the support frame 90 detachably coupled to the through hole 14, the support frame 90 can be separated to install or replace the auxiliary string 40.

[0063] Therefore, there is an advantage that the installation and replacement of the auxiliary string 40 are easy.

[0064] In the case of this embodiment, the auxiliary string winder 94 provided on the second support plate 92 is exemplified. However, it is also possible to form the fixing hole 51a in the second support plate 92 and provide the auxiliary string winder 94 on the first support plate 91.

[0065] Also, in the case of this embodiment, the structure of the silencer 70 is omitted. However, it is also possible to provide the silencer 70 on one side of the support frame 90.

[0066] In addition, in this embodiment, although the support frame 90 is illustrated as being provided singly, the present invention is not limited thereto. Within the range allowed by the storage space inside the stringed instrument, a plurality of support frames may be provided. For example, two support frames may be arranged to intersect in an "X" shape inside the stringed instrument.

[0067] Also, although not shown, the support frame 90 may be fixed to one or more of the upper plate, side plate, and lower plate of the stringed instrument inside the stringed instrument. For example, inside the stringed instrument, it may be directly fixed to the upper plate 11, or a fixed brace structure fixed to the upper plate 11 may be arranged. Therefore, the support plates 91 and 92 of the support frame 90 may be fixed to the main body 10. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and additional fixing means for fixing the main body of the support frame 90 may be arranged between the support frame 90 and the rear plate (the plate facing the upper plate 11) of the main body 10, and the support frame 90 may be firmly supported by the additional fixing means and the fixed brace structure.

[0068] Also, although not shown, inside the main body 10, a support rail (not shown) for facilitating the attachment and detachment of the support frame 90 may be further provided. The support rail (not shown) may be fixed to the upper plate 11 and the rear plate, for example, and the support frame 90 may be firmly supported so as to be attachable and detachable to and from the upper plate 11 and the rear plate through the rail.

[0069] FIGS. 16 and 17 illustrate another embodiment according to the present invention, in which the rear end portion of the string 30 penetrates the main body 10 and extends into the inside of the main body 10.

[0070] For this purpose, communication holes 11a and 13a through which the rear end portion of the string 30 passes are formed in the bridge 13 and the upper plate 11, and an auxiliary bridge 16 is provided on the peripheral surface of the main body 10.

[0071] At this time, the string 30 having a form in which the ball end 41 is provided at the rear end portion is used.

[0072] Then, an auxiliary through hole 15 is formed in the peripheral surface of the main body 10, that is, the rear side surface of the main body 10.

[0073] The auxiliary bridge 16 has a plurality of fixing holes 16a through which the string 30 passes, and is coupled to the auxiliary through-hole 15.

[0074] A method of installing the string 30 on the stringed instrument configured as described above will be described as follows.

[0075] First, after connecting the front end portion of the string 30 to the fixing hole 16a behind the auxiliary bridge 16, the string 30 is extended outside the main body 10 through the communication holes 11a and 13a.

[0076] Then, when the tip of the string 30 is connected to the reel 21 and the reel 21 is tightened, the ball end 41 is locked to the fixing hole 16a of the auxiliary bridge 16 while the string 30 is being pulled.

[0077] Then, by further tightening the reel 21 and tuning each string 30, the installation of the string 30 can be completed.

[0078] The stringed instrument configured as described above has an advantage in that the structure is simplified compared to the above-described embodiment in which the auxiliary string 40 has to be separately installed because the rear end portion of the string 30 extends inside the main body 10.
