Abstract

To provide methods, apparatuses and computer-readable storage media for multiple reference line intra prediction in video decoding.SOLUTION: The method includes: receiving, by a device, a coded video bitstream for a current block; extracting, by the device, a parameter from the coded video bitstream, the parameter indicating a reference line for intra predication in the current block; partitioning, by the device, the current block to obtain a plurality of sub-blocks; and, in response to a sub-block in the plurality of sub-blocks being located at a boundary of the current block, using, by the device, a top adjacent reference line as values for all top non-adjacent reference lines for the sub-block.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17

Claims

1. A method for video decoding: A device including a memory for storing instructions and a processor for communicating with the memory receives a coded video bitstream of the current block; A step of determining whether the selection of multiple reference lines has been applied to the current block; Steps include: the device extracting parameters from the coded video bitstream, wherein the parameters indicate non-adjacent reference line indices for intra-prediction in the current block; The steps include: the device partitioning the current block to obtain a plurality of subblocks; and If a first subblock among the plurality of subblocks is located on the upper boundary of the current block and the selection of multiple reference lines is applied to the current block, the device uses the upper left value corresponding to the adjacent reference line as the upper left value of the non-adjacent reference line corresponding to the non-adjacent reference line index for the first subblock; The method further includes the step of the device partitioning the first sub-block to obtain a plurality of transformation blocks, If the first transformation block among the plurality of transformation blocks is located on the upper boundary of the first subblock, the device uses the adjacent reference line as the value for all non-adjacent reference lines above the first transformation block; and A method wherein, when a second transformation block among the plurality of transformation blocks is not located on the upper boundary of the first sub-block, the device uses a reference line indicated by the parameter for the second transformation block.

2. A method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of the device using a left adjacent reference line to the first subblock.

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the current block includes a superblock, a maximum coding block, a coding tree block (CTB), a maximum coding unit (LCU), or a predetermined block of a predetermined size.

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the first sub-block is located at the left boundary and the upper boundary of the current block.

5. A method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of copying a sample from the adjacent reference line to the non-adjacent reference line corresponding to the non-adjacent reference line index.

6. An apparatus for intra-prediction of multiple reference lines in video decoding, comprising: Memory for storing instructions; and A processor that communicates with the aforementioned memory; An apparatus comprising, wherein the instruction causes the processor to perform the method according to any one of claims 1 to 5.

7. A computer program that causes a processor to perform the procedure described in any one of claims 1 to 5.
