To solve such problems that the time and effort increase since designation of an inspection region and an inspection level are received by manual input of a user from an application of an inspection device, and the time required for designation of the inspection region and the inspection level becomes longer every time an inspection spot increases.SOLUTION: An inspection system includes a printer and an inspection device which performs an inspection by comparing an image of a printed matter printed by the printer with a reference image. The inspection device extracts a region corresponding to a content type on the basis of the content information of the reference image, sets an inspection level to the extracted region and presents the extracted region and the set inspection level to a user in association with the reference image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
