Abstract
To provide a printing method that can sufficiently reproduce a color value of a part with gradation.SOLUTION: A printing method includes: a color space conversion step; a gradation determination step of determining if a pixel group forms gradation; and a gradation region ink amount calculation step of calculating an amount of ink in the pixel group determined to form gradation. The gradation region ink amount calculation step includes: an arrangement information acquisition step of acquiring whether pixel values are in linear, plane, or polyhedral arrangement in a uniform color space; a lattice color value calculation step of determining a lattice color value that is a color value of a lattice point in the arrangement; a lattice ink amount calculation step of calculating a lattice ink amount that is an amount of ink in the lattice point in the arrangement by using the determined lattice color value; and an interpolation arithmetic step of calculating an amount of ink in the pixel group determined to form gradation through interpolation using the calculated lattice ink amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
