Abstract

To provide a printer, a printing method and a printing program that can improve a satisfaction level of a user for a print image more than before.SOLUTION: A printer comprises a control device that executes: processing to acquire an image color gamut in which a color value included in image data is a region occupied in a predetermined color space; processing to receive information on a first color being a color within the image color gamut and being a color designated by a user; gamut mapping processing performed by at least two methods on the basis of information as to whether or not the first color exists in a printing color gamut in which a color value of a color printable by a printing unit is a region occupied in the color space; processing to display the first color and to display a preview image corresponding to each result of the gamut mapping processing before printing; and processing to cause the printing unit to print an image corresponding to the preview image selected by the user from among respective preview images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
