Description

A method and device for determining channel state information

[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0002] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China on June 30, 2023, with application number 202310798320.5 and invention name "A method and device for determining channel state information", the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field

[0003] The present application relates to the field of wireless communication technology, and in particular to a method and device for determining channel state information. Background Art

[0004] Currently, the application of Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (Massive MIMO) technology plays a crucial role in improving system spectrum efficiency. When using MIMO technology, before sending data to a terminal, the base station needs to precode the data based on the channel state information (CSI) reported by the terminal to the base station.

[0005] The basic process for CSI reporting between the base station and the terminal is as follows: the base station first sends signaling to notify the terminal of the channel measurement configuration and the timing and behavior of the channel measurement. The base station then sends a pilot signal to the terminal for channel measurement. The pilot signal is used for channel measurement. The terminal performs measurements based on the pilot signal sent by the base station, calculates the final CSI, and reports the CSI to the base station. The base station then precodes the data based on the CSI reported by the UE before transmitting it.

[0006] Among them, the base station can be configured with multiple pilots. How to improve the efficiency of the terminal updating CSI according to the pilots is an issue worthy of attention.

[0007] Summary of the Invention

[0008] The present application provides a method and apparatus for determining channel state information, so as to enable a terminal to efficiently update and report CSI.

[0009] In a first aspect, the present application provides a method for determining channel state information, which can be performed by a network device or a module (such as a chip) in the network device. The method includes: transmitting at least two reference signals; receiving first information, wherein the first information is used to indicate that part or all of the channel state information (CSI) corresponding to a second reference signal is determined based on the first reference signal, the first reference signal and the second reference signal being one of the at least two reference signals; and the first reference signal having a transmission period that is less than the transmission period of the second reference signal.

[0010] By adopting the above method, the network device can receive the first information after sending at least two reference signals. When the first information indicates that part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the network device can be enabled to schedule the terminal to report part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal according to the transmission period of the first reference signal after receiving the first information. It is not necessary to wait until the second reference signal is sent each time before scheduling the terminal to report the updated CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. Therefore, the above method can enable the network device to obtain CSI more efficiently. Furthermore, since the transmission period of the first reference signal is less than the transmission period of the second reference signal, the network device can obtain part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal in a timely manner, which can also reduce the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal and improve system performance.

[0011] In one possible design, after receiving the first information, part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is received according to a third period; wherein the third period is greater than or equal to the first period and less than the second period, the first period is the sending period of the first reference signal, or a CSI reporting period in the CSI reporting configuration of the first reference signal; the second period is a CSI reporting period in the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal.

[0012] With the above design, it is possible to shorten the reporting period of part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, thereby reducing the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal.

[0013] In one possible design, the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal also includes the third period.

[0014] In one possible design, the first information is also used to indicate the third period, or the difference between the third period and the first period, or the difference between the third period and the second period.

[0015] In one possible design, after receiving the first information, part of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal that is not indicated by the first information is received according to the second period.

[0016] In one possible design, the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is reported non-periodically; after receiving the first information, part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is received at least twice; wherein the reception time of the at least two times is between the sending time of two adjacent second reference signals, and part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the at least two second reference signals is different.

[0017] With the above design, the network device can schedule the terminal to report part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal according to the sending period of the first reference signal. There is no need to wait until the second reference signal is sent before scheduling the terminal to report the updated CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. This can achieve timely acquisition of part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, thereby reducing the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal.

[0018] In one possible design, when the first information indicates partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, the first information also includes an identifier of the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, and the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal includes at least one of channel quality information CQI, precoding matrix indication PMI or rank indication RI.

[0019] In one possible design, before sending the at least two reference signals, configuration information of the at least two reference signals is sent, wherein the configuration information of the at least two reference signals includes a sending period of the first reference signal and a sending period of the second reference signal.

[0020] In one possible design, before receiving the first information, second information is sent, and the second information instructs the terminal to feedback the first information.

[0021] With the above design, it is possible to instruct the terminal to determine whether it is possible to determine part or all of the CSI information corresponding to another reference signal based on one reference signal.

[0022] In one possible design, an absolute value of a difference between a sending time of the first reference signal and a sending time of the second reference signal is less than or equal to a first preset threshold.

[0023] In one possible design, an absolute value of a difference between a frequency of the first reference signal and a frequency of the second reference signal is less than or equal to a second preset threshold.

[0024] In one possible design, the frequency of the first reference signal is less than the frequency of the second reference signal.

[0025] The above design can be used to determine part or all of the CSI information corresponding to the high-frequency reference signal based on the low-frequency reference signal.

[0026] In one possible design, a correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal is received.

[0027] In a second aspect, the present application provides a method for determining channel state information, which can be performed by a terminal or a module (such as a chip) in the terminal. The method includes: receiving at least two reference signals; determining first information based on the at least two reference signals, where the first information is used to indicate that part or all of the CSI corresponding to a second reference signal is determined based on the first reference signal, and the first reference signal and the second reference signal belong to the at least two reference signals; and sending the first information.

[0028] Using the above method, after receiving at least two reference signals, the terminal determines that part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, and then sends the first information to the network device. Since different reference signals are usually used to measure the CSI corresponding to different antenna ports, the terminal determines that part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal. This can enable the terminal to measure only the first reference signal to update the CSI of the antenna port corresponding to the first reference signal and all or part of the CSI of the antenna port corresponding to the second reference signal. That is, the terminal does not need to update the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal every time after measuring the second reference signal. Therefore, using the above method can enable the terminal to update and report the CSI more efficiently, thereby improving the efficiency of the terminal in updating the CSI based on the reference signal, and can facilitate the network device to schedule CSI reporting more frequently, which can reduce the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal and improve system performance.

[0029] In one possible design, after sending the first information, part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is sent according to a third period; wherein the third period is greater than or equal to the first period and less than the second period, the first period is the sending period of the first reference signal, or a CSI reporting period in the CSI reporting configuration of the first reference signal; the second period is a CSI reporting period in the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal.

[0034] In one possible design, when the first information indicates partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, the first information also includes an identifier of the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, and the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal includes at least one of CQI, PMI or RI.

[0081] Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the architecture of a communication system 1000 used in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 1 , the communication system includes a radio access network 100 and a core network 200. Optionally, the communication system 1000 may also include the Internet 300. The radio access network 100 may include at least one radio access network device (such as 110a and 110b in Figure 1 ) and at least one terminal (such as 120a-120j in Figure 1 ). The terminal is wirelessly connected to the radio access network device, and the radio access network device is wirelessly or wiredly connected to the core network. The core network device and the radio access network device may be independent, distinct physical devices, or the core network device's functions and the radio access network device's logical functions may be integrated into the same physical device, or a single physical device may integrate some of the core network device's functions and some of the radio access network device's functions. Terminals and radio access network devices may be interconnected via wired or wireless connections. Figure 1 is merely a schematic diagram. The communication system may also include other network devices, such as wireless relay devices and wireless backhaul devices, which are not shown in Figure 1 .

[0082] A radio access network device can be a base station, an evolved NodeB (eNodeB), a transmission reception point (TRP), a next-generation NodeB (gNB) in a fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system, a next-generation base station in a sixth-generation (6G) mobile communication system, a base station in a future mobile communication system, or an access node in a Wi-Fi system. It can also be a module or unit that performs some of the functions of a base station, such as a centralized unit (CU) or a distributed unit (DU). The CU performs the functions of the base station's radio resource control protocol and packet data convergence protocol (PDCP), as well as the service data adaptation protocol (SDAP). The DU performs the functions of the base station's radio link control layer and medium access control (MAC) layer, as well as some or all of the physical layer. For detailed descriptions of each of these protocol layers, please refer to the relevant technical specifications of the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). The wireless access network device can be a macro base station (such as 110a in Figure 1), a micro base station or an indoor station (such as 110b in Figure 1), a relay node, a donor node, etc. The embodiments of this application do not limit the specific technology and device form used by the wireless access network device. For ease of description, the following description uses a network device as an example of a wireless access network device.

[0083] A terminal may also be referred to as a terminal device, user equipment (UE), mobile station, mobile terminal, etc. The terminal can be widely used in various scenarios, such as device-to-device (D2D), vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, machine-type communication (MTC), Internet of Things (IOT), virtual reality, augmented reality, industrial control, autonomous driving, telemedicine, smart grid, smart furniture, smart office, smart wearable, smart transportation, smart city, etc. The terminal can be a mobile phone, tablet computer, computer with wireless transceiver function, wearable device, vehicle, drone, helicopter, airplane, ship, robot, robotic arm, smart home device, etc. The embodiments of the present application do not limit the specific technology and specific device form adopted by the terminal.

[0084] Network devices and terminals can be fixed or mobile. They can be deployed on land, including indoors or outdoors, handheld or vehicle-mounted; on water; and on aircraft, balloons, and satellites. The embodiments of this application do not limit the application scenarios of network devices and terminals.

[0085] The roles of network devices and terminals can be relative. For example, the helicopter or drone 120i in Figure 1 can be configured as a mobile network device. With respect to the terminal 120j accessing the wireless access network 100 via 120i, drone 120i is a network device. However, with respect to network device 110a, 120i is a terminal, meaning that communication between 110a and 120i occurs via a wireless air interface protocol. Of course, communication between 110a and 120i can also occur via an interface protocol between network devices. In this case, 120i is also a network device relative to 110a. Therefore, both network devices and terminals can be collectively referred to as communication devices. 110a and 110b in Figure 1 can be referred to as communication devices with network device functionality, while 120a-120j in Figure 1 can be referred to as communication devices with terminal functionality.

[0086] Communication between network devices and terminals, between network devices, and between terminals can be carried out through authorized spectrum, unauthorized spectrum, or both; communication can be carried out through spectrum below 6 gigahertz (GHz), spectrum above 6 GHz, or spectrum below 6 GHz and spectrum above 6 GHz. The embodiments of the present application do not limit the spectrum resources used for wireless communication.

[0087] In the embodiments of the present application, the functions of the network device may also be performed by a module (such as a chip) in the network device, or by a control subsystem that includes the network device functions. The control subsystem that includes the network device functions here may be a control center in the above-mentioned application scenarios such as smart grid, industrial control, smart transportation, and smart city. The functions of the terminal may also be performed by a module (such as a chip or modem) in the terminal, or by a device that includes the terminal functions.

[0088] In the embodiments of the present application, the network device sends a downlink signal or downlink information to the terminal, and the downlink information is carried on the downlink channel; the terminal sends an uplink signal or uplink information to the base station, and the uplink information is carried on the uplink channel. In order to communicate with the base station, the terminal needs to establish a wireless connection with the cell controlled by the base station. The cell with which the terminal has established a wireless connection is called the serving cell of the terminal. When the terminal communicates with the serving cell, it will also be interfered with by signals from neighboring cells.

[0089] It can be understood that in the embodiments of the present application, the physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) are only used as examples of downlink data channels, downlink control channels, uplink control channels and uplink data channels, respectively. In different systems and different scenarios, data channels and control channels may have different names, and the embodiments of the present application do not limit this.

[0090] Based on the network system architecture shown in FIG1 and the contents of the above-mentioned related technical introduction, the execution subject of the method for determining new channel state information provided in the embodiment of the present application is introduced using a network device and a terminal as an example. For example, the network device can be the access network device 110a or the access network device 110b in FIG1 . The terminal can be any of the terminals 120 shown in FIG1 . In addition, it should be understood that the network device can also be replaced by a communication device having the function of a network device or a chip, unit or module inside a communication device having the function of a network device. The terminal can also be replaced by a communication device having the function of a terminal or a chip, unit or module inside a communication device having the function of a terminal.

[0091] In a communication system, a pilot signal, also known as a reference signal (RS), is a signal provided by a transmitter to a receiver for channel estimation or channel detection. Reference signals are divided into uplink reference signals and downlink reference signals. Unless otherwise specified, the reference signal in this application is a downlink reference signal. For example, the downlink reference signal may be a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS).

[0092] In the present application, the network device may send configuration information of at least two reference signals. Exemplarily, the at least two reference signals may be CSI-RSs. Before sending the at least two reference signals (i.e., step 200 below), the network device sends the configuration information of the at least two reference signals via CSI-ResourceConfig configured by the radio resource control (RRC) layer.

[0093] The configuration information of at least two reference signals may include the measurement configuration of each of the at least two reference signals, and the measurement configuration of each reference signal may include the resource mapping (resourceMapping), period and offset (periodicityAndOffset) of the reference signal. The resource mapping includes the frequency domain location (frequencyDomainAllocation) within the resource block (resource block, RB), the time domain start symbol position (firstOFDMSymbolInTimeDomain), the code grouping type (cdm-Type), the frequency domain density (density), the frequency domain bandwidth (freqBand), etc. The period and offset include the reference signal transmission period (also called the reference signal period) and the offset (also called the time slot offset). The measurement configuration of each reference signal can also be called the channel measurement configuration of each reference signal.

[0094] Exemplarily, the configuration information of the at least two reference signals may include a transmission period and a time slot offset of a first reference signal, and a transmission period and a time slot offset of a second reference signal. The first reference signal and the second reference signal belong to at least two reference signals.

[0095] It can be understood that, currently, the transmission period and offset of the reference signal included in the period and offset are described in units of time slots. For example, the period of the reference signal includes N time slots, and the time slot offset is M time slots, where N and M are positive integers. With the evolution of technology, the transmission period and offset of the reference signal included in the period and offset can also be described in units of other time units, such as subframes, symbols, etc., which is not limited in this application. In the following, the description of the transmission period and offset of the reference signal in units of time slots is only an example and does not constitute a limitation of this application. The "time slot" in the following can be replaced by "time unit".

[0096] In addition, in one possible implementation, the configuration information of the at least two reference signals may further include a CSI reporting configuration for each of the at least two reference signals. The CSI reporting configuration for each reference signal may be used to indicate whether the CSI corresponding to the reference signal is reported periodically or aperiodically. The CSI reporting configuration for each reference signal may also be referred to as the CSI feedback configuration for each reference signal.

[0097] It is understandable that the CSI reporting configuration of each reference signal and the measurement configuration information of the reference signal may be sent together or separately, and this application does not impose any limitation on this.

[0098] In a possible implementation, the CSI reporting configuration of the reference signal may further include one or more CSI reporting periods, which may also be referred to as a CSI feedback period, or simply as a reporting period or feedback period.

[0099] For example, the number of CSI reporting periods included in the CSI reporting configuration for the reference signal can be divided into the following two cases:

[0100] Case A: When the CSI reporting configuration of the reference signal includes a CSI reporting period, the CSI reporting period is greater than or equal to the transmission period of the reference signal.

[0101] For example, assuming that the transmission period of the reference signal A is 5 time slots, if the CSI reporting configuration of the reference signal A includes a CSI reporting period, the CSI reporting period is greater than or equal to 5 time slots.

[0102] For another example, assuming that the transmission period of the reference signal B is 20 time slots, if the CSI reporting configuration of the reference signal B includes a CSI reporting period, the CSI reporting period is greater than or equal to 20 time slots.

[0103] Case B: When the CSI reporting configuration of a reference signal includes multiple CSI reporting periods, there is a CSI reporting period among the multiple CSI reporting periods that is greater than or equal to the transmission period of the reference signal. For example, the number of CSI reporting periods that is greater than or equal to the transmission period of the reference signal is generally 1, and this CSI reporting period is the default CSI reporting period.

[0104] Optionally, there may be a CSI reporting period that is shorter than the reference signal transmission period in the multiple CSI reporting periods. For application scenarios of the CSI reporting period that is shorter than the reference signal transmission period, please refer to the description of the following scenario 1.

[0105] In another possible implementation, the CSI reporting configuration of the reference signal may indicate aperiodic reporting of the CSI corresponding to the reference signal. In this case, the network device may schedule the terminal to report the CSI corresponding to the reference signal through downlink control information (DCI).

[0106] FIG2 exemplarily illustrates a possible flow diagram of a method for determining channel state information provided by an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG2 , the method includes:

[0107] Step 200: The network device sends at least two reference signals, and the terminal receives the at least two reference signals accordingly.

[0108] It should be understood that the at least two reference signals include two or more than two CSI-RSs.

[0109] Step 210: The terminal determines first information based on at least two reference signals. The first information indicates that part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is determined based on the first reference signal. The first reference signal and the second reference signal are at least two reference signals, that is, the at least two reference signals include the first reference signal and the second reference signal.

[0110] In one possible implementation, when the number of at least two reference signals is large, the terminal may first group the at least two reference signals, and then determine, based on the at least one group of reference signals obtained by grouping, whether part or all of the CSI information corresponding to a reference signal included in each group can be determined based on another reference signal. Each group of reference signals may include two reference signals. Exemplarily, each group of reference signals in the at least one group of reference signals meets the following conditions:

[0111] Condition 1: The absolute value of the difference between the transmission times of the two reference signals is less than or equal to a first preset threshold.

[0112] For any reference signal, the transmission time of the reference signal can be determined according to the transmission period and time slot offset of the reference signal.

[0113] For example,

[0114] in, is the number of time slots in a frame, n f is the frame number, is the time slot number in a frame, where It can be understood as the total time slot number, T offset is the time slot offset of the reference signal, T CSI-RS is the reference signal transmission period.

[0115] Furthermore, the network device sends the reference signal at the time slot determined by the frame number and time slot number that satisfy the above formula.

[0116] In one possible design, the two reference signals have the same transmission time, that is, the difference between the transmission times of the two reference signals is zero. The two reference signals having the same transmission time can be understood as the network device transmitting the two reference signals in the same time slot, that is, the two reference signals have the same transmission time slot. Alternatively, it can be described as the network device transmitting the two reference signals in the same time unit.

[0117] Exemplarily, the terminal can obtain the transmission period and time slot offset of the first reference signal, as well as the transmission period and time slot offset of the second reference signal, based on the configuration information of at least two reference signals. For example, the transmission period of the first reference signal is 5 time slots, the time slot offset is 0 time slots, and the transmission period of the second reference signal is 20 time slots, and the time slot offset is 0 time slots. It can be seen that the network device simultaneously transmits the first reference signal and the second reference signal every 20 time slots. In this case, the transmission time of the first reference signal and the transmission time of the second reference signal may coincide. Therefore, the first reference signal and the second reference signal constitute a set of reference signals that meets condition 1.

[0118] In another possible design, the difference between the transmission times of two reference signals is less than or equal to a first preset threshold. For example, the first preset threshold may be 1 time slot or 2 time slots, which is not limited in this application.

[0119] For example, if the first reference signal has a transmission period of 5 time slots and a time slot offset of 0 time slots, and the second reference signal has a transmission period of 20 time slots and a time slot offset of 1 time slot, then the difference between the transmission time of the first reference signal and the transmission time of the second reference signal is equal to 1 time slot. Therefore, the first reference signal and the second reference signal form a set of reference signals that meets condition 1.

[0120] Condition 2: The absolute value of the difference between the frequencies of the two reference signals is less than or equal to a second preset threshold.

[0121] The frequency of the reference signal may also be described as the frequency band where the reference signal is located, or the center frequency of the frequency band where the reference signal is located. For example, the center frequency of the frequency band where the reference signal is located is 2.6 GHz or 3.5 GHz.

[0122] For example, during the process of a terminal accessing a network device, the terminal determines the frequency band for communicating with the network device. After the terminal accesses the network device, the network device may notify the terminal to communicate on more frequency bands. Furthermore, the network device may transmit reference signals on multiple different frequency bands, and the terminal may receive corresponding reference signals on multiple different frequency bands.

[0123] Exemplarily, when the absolute value of the difference between the frequency of the first reference signal and the frequency of the second reference signal is less than or equal to the second preset threshold, the first reference signal and the second reference signal are a set of reference signals that satisfy condition 2. The difference between the frequency of the first reference signal and the frequency of the second reference signal is also the difference between the center frequency of the frequency band in which the first reference signal resides and the center frequency of the frequency band in which the second reference signal resides. The second preset threshold may be 1 GHz, which is not limited in this application.

[0124] In a possible implementation, the frequency of the first reference signal may be less than the frequency of the second reference signal. Alternatively, the frequency of the first reference signal may be greater than or equal to the frequency of the second reference signal.

[0125] It should be noted that at least one group of reference signals grouped may satisfy both conditions 1 and 2, or may satisfy either condition 1 or 2. Conditions 1 and 2 are merely examples, and other conditions may exist, which are not limited in this application.

[0126] Exemplarily, when the terminal determines that the first reference signal and the second reference signal satisfy the above-mentioned condition 1 and / or condition 2, the terminal may determine relevant parameters of the first reference signal and the second reference signal, and then compare the relevant parameters with a preset threshold value. Based on the comparison result, the terminal determines whether part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal. In addition, if it is determined based on the comparison result that part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, then, accordingly, part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the first reference signal can also be determined based on the second reference signal. The following description only uses the example of part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal being determined based on the first reference signal.

[0127] The following describes a specific method for calculating the relevant parameters of the first reference signal and the second reference signal by taking the first reference signal and the second reference signal of the at least two reference signals as an example.

[0128] Method 1:

[0129] The terminal measures the first reference signal according to the transmission period of the first reference signal, and measures the second reference signal according to the transmission period of the second reference signal. Further, the terminal obtains a channel measurement matrix obtained by measuring the first reference signal and the second reference signal at T same times, which can be specifically expressed as H 1,t and H 2,t , where t=1,2,…,T, T is a positive integer, H 1,t represents the channel measurement matrix measured for the first reference signal at time t, H 2,t represents the channel measurement matrix measured for the second reference signal at time t, H 1,t is an N1×1 column vector, the absolute value of the difference between the center frequency of the frequency band where the first reference signal is located and the center frequency of the frequency band where the second reference signal is located is less than or equal to the second preset threshold, H 2,t is a column vector of N2×1, where N1 and N2 are both positive integers. 1,t and H 2,t It can be obtained by performing channel estimation on the measurement result of the first reference signal, H 2,t It can be obtained by performing channel estimation on the measurement result of the second reference signal, for example Y 1,t is the received signal corresponding to the first reference signal, X 1,t is a sending pilot corresponding to the first reference signal.

[0130] For example, assuming that the transmission period of the first reference signal is 5 time slots, the time slot offset of the first reference signal is 0 time slots, and the transmission period of the second reference signal is 20 time slots, the time slot offset of the second reference signal is 0 time slots, the terminal can simultaneously receive the first reference signal and the second reference signal every 20 time slots. When simultaneously receiving the first reference signal and the second reference signal, the terminal records the channel measurement matrix measured for the first reference signal and the channel measurement matrix measured for the second reference signal.

[0131] Then, the terminal can 1,t and H 2,t Calculate R, where H t =[H 1,t ;H 2,t ], H t , t=1,2,…,T is T column vectors of length N1+N2, It is H t The conjugate transpose of . Next, the terminal performs singular value decomposition on R to obtain the (N1+N2) eigenvalues corresponding to R. It then determines U based on the eigenvectors corresponding to the first K largest eigenvalues among the (N1+N2) eigenvalues. U is a (N1+N2)×K matrix, where K is a positive integer less than or equal to N1. The value of K can be determined by the terminal based on its computing power or predefined by the protocol. Each column in U is an eigenvector.

[0132] Furthermore, it is assumed that at time T+1 the terminal obtains H by measuring the first reference signal 1,T+1 , and obtain H by measuring the second reference signal 2T+1 The T+1 time is the time when the network device sends the first reference signal and the second reference signal at the same time. The terminal can be based on H 1,T+1 and U Computing Among them, C T+1 is a column vector of length K, is the pseudo-inverse of U1, where U1 is the matrix formed by the first N1 rows of U. Then, the terminal can T+1 and U calculate H T+1 =UC T+1 , and the column vector H T+1 The column vector consisting of the last N2 elements in is denoted as h 2,T+1 , calculate h 2,T+1 and H 2,T+1 The correlation coefficient c1, Among them, h 2,T+1 and H 2,T+1 The correlation coefficient c1 can also be called the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal.

[0133] Further, if the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal is greater than a preset threshold value of 0.8, the terminal determines that the channel quality information (CQI) corresponding to the second reference signal can be obtained based on the first reference signal; if the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal is greater than the preset threshold value of 0.9, the terminal determines that the precoding matrix indicator (PMI) corresponding to the second reference signal can be obtained based on the first reference signal; if the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal is greater than the preset threshold value of 0.95, the terminal determines that all information of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be obtained based on the first reference signal.

[0134] It will be appreciated that a larger correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal indicates a higher reliability or accuracy of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal determined based on the first reference signal; conversely, a smaller correlation coefficient indicates a lower reliability or accuracy of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal determined based on the first reference signal. The above values of 0.8, 0.9, and 0.95 are merely examples and are not intended to limit this application. In actual applications, the above preset threshold values may vary depending on factors such as the wireless environment.

[0135] Method 2:

[0136] Terminal calculation H 1,t and H 2,t The correlation coefficient c2, Then, T c2 values are obtained and the average of the obtained T c2 values is calculated. 1,t and H 2,t Please refer to the relevant description in the above-mentioned method 1. The average value of the above-mentioned T c2 values can also be called the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal.

[0137] Among them, if H 1,t The length of the column vector and H 2,t If the lengths of the column vectors are different, that is, N1≠N2, then the longer column vectors can be uniformly sampled to calculate the c2 value. It is understood that this application does not limit the specific method of sampling.

[0138] For example, H 1,t The length of the column vector of H is 8. 2,t The length of the column vector is 32, so take H 2,t The 1st, 5th, 9th, 13th, 17th, 21st, 25th, and 29th elements in each column of form a new column vector H' 2,t ,calculate

[0139] Similar to the above-mentioned method 1, a larger correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal indicates a higher reliability or accuracy of determining the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the first reference signal. Conversely, a smaller correlation coefficient indicates a lower reliability or accuracy of determining the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the first reference signal.

[0140] Method 3:

[0141] Terminal calculation H 1,t and H 2,t The covariance matrix correlation coefficient c3, in, R 12 H 1,t and H 2,t The cross-covariance matrix of H 1,t and H 2,t The autocovariance matrix of |·| F is the matrix F-norm. 1,t and H 2,t The covariance matrix correlation coefficient c3 can also be called the correlation coefficient of the first reference signal and the second reference signal. 1,t and H 2,t Please refer to the relevant description in the above method 1.

[0142] Further, if the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal is greater than the preset threshold value 1 / 4, the terminal determines that the CQI corresponding to the second reference signal can be obtained based on the first reference signal; if the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal is greater than the preset threshold value 1 / 3, the terminal determines that the PMI corresponding to the second reference signal can be obtained based on the first reference signal; if the correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal is greater than the preset threshold value 2 / 5, the terminal determines that all information of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be obtained based on the first reference signal.

[0143] It will be appreciated that a larger correlation coefficient between the first reference signal and the second reference signal indicates a higher reliability or accuracy of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal determined based on the first reference signal; conversely, a smaller correlation coefficient indicates a lower reliability or accuracy of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal determined based on the first reference signal. The preset threshold values of 1 / 4, 1 / 3, and 2 / 5 are merely examples and are not intended to limit this application. In actual applications, the preset threshold values may vary depending on factors such as the wireless environment.

[0144] It can be understood that the above-mentioned methods 1 to 3 are applicable to any two reference signals among the at least two reference signals, that is, the terminal can use any of the above-mentioned methods to determine whether part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to one reference signal among the at least two reference signals can be determined based on the other reference signal.

[0145] Furthermore, the above-described methods 1 to 3 are provided for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit this application. The above-described threshold values are also provided for illustrative purposes only. The above-described methods 1 to 3 are described using the example of the first reference signal and the second reference signal having the same transmission time. Furthermore, if the absolute value of the difference between the transmission time of the first reference signal and the transmission time of the second reference signal is less than the first preset threshold, the above-described methods 1 to 3 may also be used.

[0146] Furthermore, in a possible implementation, the terminal may also send a correlation coefficient of the first reference signal and the second reference signal to the network device. Exemplarily, the correlation coefficient of the first reference signal and the second reference signal may be included in the first information or sent separately. This application does not limit this.

[0147] Step 220: The terminal device sends the first information.

[0148] Exemplarily, the terminal device sends the first information to the network device, and correspondingly, the network device receives the first information from the terminal device.

[0149] The following describes possible implementations of the first information:

[0150] In one possible implementation, when the first information indicates that partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is determined based on the first reference signal, the first information may further include an identifier of the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, or indicate the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal via a bitmap. Exemplarily, the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal includes at least one of a CQI, a PMI, or a rank indicator (RI). It will be understood that the CQI, PMI, and RI are identifiers of different partial information in the CSI, respectively.

[0151] It can be understood that if the first information does not include an identifier of part of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, it indicates that all the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal.

[0152] In addition, as a possible implementation, the range of the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal may also be determined by means of network device indication or protocol pre-definition. For example, the network device may indicate to the terminal or pre-define through a protocol that the partial information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal includes the PMI. The terminal then sends first information and reports, via 1 bit, whether the PMI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal. In this case, the terminal may not consider whether the CQI, RI, etc. corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, and only determine whether the PMI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal.

[0153] For another example, the network device may indicate to the terminal or predefine through a protocol that part of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal includes the PMI and CQI. The terminal then sends first information, reporting via two bits whether the PMI and CQI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal. In this case, the terminal may not consider whether the RI and other information corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, but only determine whether the PMI and CQI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal.

[0154] In a possible implementation, when the number of the at least two reference signals is greater than 2, the first information may include information for identifying the first reference signal and information for identifying the second reference signal.

[0155] For example, the at least two reference signals include reference signal 1, reference signal 2, reference signal 3 and reference signal 4, wherein, if the terminal determines that part of the information in the CSI corresponding to reference signal 1 can be determined based on reference signal 3, and the CSI corresponding to reference signal 2 can only be determined based on reference signal 2, the CSI corresponding to reference signal 3 can only be determined based on reference signal 3, and the CSI corresponding to reference signal 4 can only be determined based on reference signal 4, then the first information may also include an identifier of reference signal 1 and an identifier of reference signal 3.

[0156] In one possible implementation, when the number of at least two reference signals is 2, the first information may include indication information for indicating whether part or all of the CSI corresponding to one of the two reference signals can be determined based on the other reference signal. For example, if the two reference signals have different transmission periods, the indication information may be 1 bit. When the value of the 1 bit is "1," it indicates that the CSI corresponding to the reference signal with the longer transmission period of the at least two reference signals can be determined based on the reference signal with the shorter transmission period. When the value of the 1 bit is "0," it indicates that the CSI corresponding to the reference signal with the longer transmission period of the at least two reference signals cannot be determined based on the reference signal with the shorter transmission period. Alternatively, if the frequencies of the two reference signals are different, the indication information may be 1 bit. When the value of the 1 bit is "1," it indicates that the CSI corresponding to the reference signal with the higher frequency of the at least two reference signals can be determined based on the reference signal with the lower frequency. When the value of the 1 bit is "0," it indicates that the CSI corresponding to the reference signal with the higher frequency of the at least two reference signals cannot be determined based on the reference signal with the lower frequency.

[0157] It should be understood that the above implementation is only an example and is not intended to limit the present application.

[0158] In addition, in a possible implementation, before step 210, the network device may further send second information to the terminal, wherein the second information instructs the terminal to feed back the first information. Further, the terminal determines the first information based on at least two reference signals in response to the second information.

[0159] Exemplarily, the second information may be included in the configuration information of at least two reference signals, or sent separately, which is not limited in this application. For example, the second information may occupy one bit, and when the value of the one bit is "1", it indicates that the terminal is instructed to feedback the first information, and when the value of the one bit is "0", it indicates that the terminal does not need to feedback the first information. The bit field occupied by the second information may be a newly added bit field, or an existing bit field may be reused, which is not limited in this application.

[0160] The second information instructs the terminal to feed back the first information, which can also be described as the second information instructing the terminal to determine whether the CSI corresponding to any one of the at least two reference signals can be determined based on the other reference signals.

[0161] Using the above method, the network device sends at least two reference signals. After the terminal receives the at least two reference signals, the terminal determines that part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, and then sends the first information to the network device. The terminal determines that part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, which can enable the terminal to update the CSI of the antenna port corresponding to the first reference signal and all or part of the CSI of the antenna port corresponding to the second reference signal by measuring only the first reference signal. That is, the terminal does not need to update the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal every time after measuring the second reference signal. Therefore, using the above method can enable the terminal to update and report the CSI more efficiently, thereby improving the efficiency of the terminal in updating the CSI based on the reference signal. At the same time, it can facilitate the network device to schedule CSI reporting more frequently, reduce the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, and improve system performance. Accordingly, the above method can enable the network device to schedule the terminal to report part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal according to the sending period of the first reference signal after receiving the first information. It is not necessary to wait until the second reference signal is sent each time before scheduling the terminal to report the updated CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. Therefore, the above method can enable the network device to obtain CSI more efficiently.

[0162] Generally, network devices configure at least two reference signals with different transmission periods. Reference signals with longer transmission periods are more susceptible to CSI aging. CSI aging, also known as CSI expiration, occurs when a reference signal with a longer transmission period has a longer reporting period for the CSI corresponding to that reference signal, or when the CSI for that reference signal pair takes longer to be fed back. This prevents network devices from obtaining valid CSI in a timely manner, impacting system performance.

[0163] In this application, the transmission period of the first reference signal may be greater than, less than, or equal to the transmission period of the second reference signal.

[0164] For example, the first reference signal is transmitted in time slot 0, time slot 10, time slot 20, and time slot 30, and the second reference signal is transmitted in time slot 0, time slot 15, and time slot 30. In this case, the transmission period of the first reference signal (10 time slots) is shorter than the transmission period of the second reference signal (15 time slots). When part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the terminal can determine part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the first reference signal received in time slot 10, thereby reducing CSI aging from time slots 10 to 15, and / or the terminal can determine part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the first reference signal received in time slot 20, thereby reducing CSI aging from time slots 20 to 30.

[0165] For another example, the first reference signal is transmitted in time slots 0, 15, and 30, and the second reference signal is transmitted in time slots 0, 10, 20, and 30. In this case, the transmission period of the first reference signal (15 time slots) is shorter than the transmission period of the second reference signal (10 time slots). If part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the terminal can determine part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the first reference signal received in time slot 15, thereby reducing CSI aging from time slots 15 to 20.

[0166] Therefore, by adopting the above method, when part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is reduced, thereby improving system performance.

[0167] The following further illustrates how to solve the CSI aging problem in two different scenarios when the transmission period of the first reference signal is less than or equal to the transmission period of the second reference signal, thereby increasing the CSI reporting frequency in a longer CSI reporting period and reducing CSI aging.

[0168] In the following scenario 1, the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is reported periodically. In the following scenario 2, the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is reported aperiodically. For scenarios 1 and 2, the CSI corresponding to the first reference signal can be reported periodically or aperiodically, which is not limited in this application.

[0169] Scenario 1: Periodic reporting of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal

[0170] Exemplarily, after the terminal sends the first information, the terminal may send part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal according to the third period. Accordingly, the network device may receive part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal according to the third period. It can be understood that part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is determined by the first reference signal. In addition, when part of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the terminal sends part of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal that is not indicated by the first information according to the second period. Accordingly, the network device receives part of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal that is not indicated by the first information according to the second period.

[0171] The third period is greater than or equal to the first period and less than the second period. The first period is the transmission period of the first reference signal, or a CSI reporting period in the CSI reporting configuration of the first reference signal, and the second period is a CSI reporting period in the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal. The second period is greater than or equal to the transmission period of the second reference signal. Here, a CSI reporting period in the CSI reporting configuration of the first reference signal is greater than or equal to the transmission period of the first reference signal.

[0172] In one possible scenario, the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal includes a CSI reporting period, and the CSI reporting period is greater than or equal to the transmission period of the second reference signal, and the CSI reporting period is the second period. In this case, the terminal can determine the third period and notify the network device through the first information. Exemplarily, the first information may also include the third period, or the difference between the third period and the first period, or the difference between the third period and the second period. In addition, the above content may not be carried by the first information, but sent separately, and this application is not limited to this. Among them, the terminal can determine the third period based on the correlation coefficient of the first reference signal and the second reference signal. For example, when the correlation coefficient of the first reference signal and the second reference signal is larger, the third period is closer to the first period, the difference between the third period and the first period is smaller, or the third period may be equal to the first period.

[0173] Exemplarily, the transmission period of the first reference signal is 5 time slots, and the CSI reporting configuration of the first reference signal includes a CSI reporting period, which is also 5 time slots. The transmission period of the second reference signal is 20 time slots, and the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal includes a CSI reporting period, which is 20 time slots. When part or all of the CSI information corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the terminal determines that the third period is greater than or equal to 5 time slots and less than 20 time slots. The terminal can send a specific value of the third period (for example, 5 time slots, 10 time slots, or 15 time slots) to the network device, or the difference between the third period and the first period (for example, the third period differs from the first period by 5 time slots, then the third period is 10 time slots), or the difference between the third period and the second period (for example, the third period differs from the second period by 5 time slots, then the third period is 15 time slots).

[0174] In another possible scenario, the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal includes multiple CSI reporting periods. In this case, the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal may further include a third period, that is, the multiple CSI reporting periods include the second period and the third period. The third period is smaller than the transmission period of the second reference signal. That is, when part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on other signals (e.g., the first reference signal), the terminal may use the CSI reporting period that is smaller than the transmission period of the second reference signal to send part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. The CSI reporting period that is smaller than the transmission period of the second reference signal is greater than or equal to the transmission period of the other reference signal.

[0175] If the number of CSI reporting periods that is smaller than the transmission period of the second reference signal is one, the terminal may not need to notify the network device of the CSI reporting period that is smaller than the transmission period of the second reference signal.

[0176] If there are multiple CSI reporting periods that are smaller than the transmission period of the second reference signal, the terminal may select a CSI reporting period from multiple CSI reporting periods that are smaller than the transmission period of the reference signal based on the transmission period of the other reference signals, and may notify the network device of the selected CSI reporting period.

[0177] Taking as an example that part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is determined based on the first reference signal:

[0178] Example 1: Assuming the second reference signal has a transmission period of 20 time slots, if the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal includes a CSI reporting period, the CSI reporting period includes 20 time slots and 5 time slots. Of these, 20 time slots is the default CSI reporting period, while 5 time slots is a possible CSI reporting period. This possible CSI reporting period is applicable to the following scenario: when part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, and the transmission period of the first reference signal is 5 time slots, part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be reported with a period of 5 time slots.

[0179] Example 2: Assuming that the transmission period of the second reference signal is 20 time slots, if the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal includes a CSI reporting period, the CSI reporting period includes 20 time slots, 10 time slots, and 5 time slots. Among them, 20 time slots is the default CSI reporting period, while 10 time slots and 5 time slots are CSI reporting periods that may be used. When part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, and the transmission period of the first reference signal is 10 time slots, the terminal can select 10 time slots from the 10 time slots and 5 time slots included in the CSI reporting period as the CSI reporting period for part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the transmission period of the first reference signal being 10 time slots.

[0180] In another possible scenario, after receiving the first information, the network device reconfigures a CSI reporting period for the second reference signal, that is, a third period, and sends the third period to the terminal.

[0181] With the above design, the network device can obtain part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal multiple times in a timely manner, without having to wait until the second reference signal is sent each time to obtain part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the updated second reference signal. That is, the terminal does not have to report the CSI every time after measuring the second reference signal. This can shorten the reporting period of part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, thereby reducing the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal and improving system performance.

[0182] Scenario 2: Aperiodic reporting of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal

[0183] Exemplarily, after receiving the first information, the network device may receive part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal at least twice. The reception times of the part or all of the CSI corresponding to the at least two second reference signals are both between the transmission times of two adjacent second reference signals, and the part or all of the CSI corresponding to the at least two second reference signals are different.

[0184] The reception time of part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be understood as the time of receiving the above information, or can be understood as the time of receiving the above information minus Z', where Z' is the CSI calculation time specified in the protocol.

[0185] Accordingly, the terminal may transmit part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal at least twice. The transmission times of the part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the at least two second reference signals are both between the transmission times of two adjacent second reference signals, and the part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the at least two second reference signals is different.

[0186] In a possible implementation, part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the at least two second reference signals received by the network device is obtained through aperiodic scheduling.

[0187] Exemplarily, the network device may send fourth information 1, where the fourth information 1 is used to request partial or full information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. Exemplarily, the fourth information 1 may be DCI 1. The terminal sends partial or full information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal for the first time based on the fourth information 1, which is recorded as partial or full information 1 in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal.

[0188] The network device may also send fourth information 2, which is used to request part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. Exemplarily, the fourth information 2 may be DCI 2. The terminal sends part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal for a second time based on the fourth information 2, which is recorded as part or all of the information 2 in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal.

[0189] Among them, the sending time of part or all of the information 1 in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal and the sending time of part or all of the information 1 in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal are both located between the sending times of two adjacent second reference signals, and the part or all of the information 1 in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal and the part or all of the information 2 in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal are different.

[0190] For example, as shown in Figure 3, assuming that the transmission period of the first reference signal is 5 time slots, the time slot offset of the first reference signal is 0 time slots, and the transmission period of the second reference signal is 20 time slots, the time slot offset of the second reference signal is 0 time slots, the terminal can simultaneously receive the first reference signal and the second reference signal every 20 time slots. After the terminal simultaneously receives the first reference signal and the second reference signal, it receives DCI1, which is used to request part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. Based on the previously received second reference signal, the terminal sends part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, which is recorded as information 1. If the terminal receives DCI2 after receiving DCI1, DCI2 is used to request part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. If the network device has not yet sent the next second reference signal at this time, but the terminal has received a new first reference signal, the terminal may determine part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the new first reference signal and the measurement results of the previously received first reference signal and the second reference signal, and resend part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, which is recorded as information 2.

[0191] In another possible implementation, part or all of the CSI corresponding to the at least two second reference signals received by the network device may include part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal obtained through aperiodic scheduling, and may also include part or all of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal reported through the second period. In this case, the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal may be reported either periodically or aperiodically.

[0192] For example, as shown in Figure 4, assuming that the sending period of the first reference signal is 5 time slots, the time slot offset of the first reference signal is 0 time slot, the sending period of the second reference signal is 20 time slots, the time slot offset of the second reference signal is 0 time slot, and the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal includes a CSI reporting period of 20 time slots and a time slot offset of 10 time slots, then the terminal can simultaneously receive the first reference signal and the second reference signal every 20 time slots, and the terminal periodically sends the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, wherein the moment when the terminal sends the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal each time is 10 time slots after the network device sends the second reference signal each time.

[0193] After a terminal simultaneously receives the first reference signal and the second reference signal, and before the network device sends the second reference signal next time, the terminal receives DCI 1, where DCI 1 is used to request part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal. In response to DCI 1, the terminal sends part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, which is recorded as information A. In addition, the terminal also sends part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal according to the CSI reporting configuration of the second reference signal, which is recorded as information B. Information A is different from information B.

[0194] The above design can enable the network device to obtain part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal in a timely manner, without having to wait until the second reference signal is sent before scheduling the terminal to report the updated CSI corresponding to the second reference signal, thereby reducing the aging of the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal and improving system performance.

[0195] Illustratively, the following method is a possible implementation manner in which a terminal determines part or all of the information in the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal based on the first reference signal. It should be noted that the following method is only an example and is not intended to limit the present application.

[0196] The terminal first determines U, and for details, please refer to the relevant description in the above method 1.

[0197] When the CSI corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the terminal can measure the first reference signal at time t' to obtain H 1t’ Wherein, time t′ is the sending time of the first reference signal, and is not the sending time of the second reference signal.

[0198] Terminal based on H 1,t’ and U Computing Among them C t′ is a column vector of length K, is the pseudo-inverse of matrix U1, where U1 is the matrix formed by the first N1 rows of U. Further, based on C t′ and U, the terminal can calculate H t′ =UC t′ , and H t′ The last N2 elements in each column of 2,t’ , where h 2,t’ That is, H 2,t’ That is, at time t′, the terminal cannot measure the second reference signal to obtain H because the network device does not send the second reference signal. 2,t’ , but the terminal can obtain H based on U and the first reference signal measured at time t′ 1,t’ , calculate H 2,t’ The inferred value, h2,t’ . Then the terminal can be based on h 2,t’ The CSI corresponding to the second reference signal is determined using the existing CSI calculation method.

[0199] In addition, as a possible implementation, the terminal may also send the correlation coefficient of the first reference signal and the second reference signal to the network device, but not send the first information, and the network device may then determine, based on a preset threshold, whether part or all of the CSI information corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal. When the network device determines that part or all of the CSI information corresponding to the second reference signal can be determined based on the first reference signal, the network device may send third information to the terminal, where the third information is similar to the first information.
